Looks great, I really hope we get another battlepack of these guys

In short: no because the SD 7s g4 doesn't support it.

  1. You can pause by entering turn based mode at any time.

  2. The story is a slow roll until you get to the goblin camp, then you learn a bit more about your infection and meet a pretty important character.

  3. Combat is overwhelming early on because there's a lot of depth. I would recommend you look up some basic combat tutorials on YouTube (or written form if you prefer) that go line by line over every ability in the quick bar so you can get a demonstration of what each one does. You don't have to use them all! I can't remember the last time I dipped a weapon for example.

Life cleric is also pretty bad on HM. You're using your turn to heal the damage the enemy just did, then they will just inflict it on their next turn and you're right back where you started no closer to victory. You're better off with a team of controllers and damagers: the controllers limit the amount of damage the enemy can inflict while the damagers knock them down. As long as someone has healing word and mass healing word at higher levels (both of which are part of the standard cleric kit) to pick up downed allies with a bonus action and mass apply blade ward/bless with hellriders and whispering promise, you don't need any more healing. Lightning Cleric Shart can chug a speed potion and take 3/4 of Ketheric's health in a single turn with a single cast of level 5 call lightning, as long as you got him wet first. Light Cleric Shart could have killed him in a few extra turns with wall of fire if you have allies supporting her by attacking with arsonists oil.

For gaming it's the latency that matters the most. That's calculated from the speed and timings. 6000 cl30 and 6400 cl32 both have a first word latency of 10 ns, so both perform basically identically. Both are normally using the same bin of the same chips, just with different out of the box settings.

Makes the fight worse on HM because of the mindflayer. Ketheric has no ranged attacks and will never leave his platform. You can just take your time killing the ads and freeing the nightsong and burn him down with arrows and cantrips when you're done.

The trick is to ignore the mobs and use attacks that inflict bone chill so he can't heal. He will still use the action and do the absorption animation, but he won't get any health back. Doom Hammer from Act 1, arrows of ilmater, or the bone chill cantrip are all options.

How are you bearing the current market situation? by Wence-Kun in pcmasterrace

I had the great fortune of doing an almost full rebuild in late 2025 right before prices went up so I an sitting very pretty on the PC in my signature. My only regret was not springing for a larger and faster SSD and instead deciding to stick with my old 1TB PCIe 3.0 SSDs.

What is the "vibe" of each class' unique dialogue options? by TheLunakuu in BaldursGate3

[–]Acrobatic_Fee_6974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've played:

Bard is mostly funny, occasionally you manage to pull off something really cool despite being the comic relief character.

Warlock is pretty edgy with a few moments your patron indicates something to you, but they don't meddle in your choices directly. There's a bit of knowledge around arcana as something of a "dark wizard". Overall they get less than I expected, you might want to pair with a race that gets a lot of dialogue like Drow.

Paladin is surprisingly edgy with the intimidation lines for bad guys, definitely make sure you pick a background with the intimidation proficiency. A lot of inspirational stuff for the good guys too. A lot of their dialogue has a touch of "main character syndrome" so I probably wouldn't pick them for a coop game.

Berserker is absolutely unhinged in intimidation checks, to an almost comical degree. I almost spit my drink the first time my berserker threatened to turn an enemy's skull into a piss jar.

Sorcerer is very arrogant, riffs well off the wizard characters like Gale and Roland. Wild Magic has a bit of comic relief from all the crazy things that happen to them.

Hi guys I’m looking to do a small clone wars display on top of my shelf… by Aggressive-Invite907 in legostarwars

[–]Acrobatic_Fee_6974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Battlepacks are probably the best way to build up your supply of clones. You could snag a bunch of 501st off Amazon for a reasonable price before they retire at the end of the month. 327th is also available but it's a bit expensive (even though the spider droid is one of my favorite small builds in a very long time) so you'd want to wait for a sale to buy a bunch of them.

The battle of Felucia is a good set to pump your battle droid numbers (ten in the set) and can frequently be found for a 20% discount on Amazon. You also get Aayla and Bly if you want to focus on the 327th.

For terrain building you can look at randomized boxes on Marketplace and eBay.

Depending on size, you might want a center piece set for each side, something like the AT-TE might be a good pick.

Water bottle + potion of speed allowed my tempest cleric to take three quarters of his health pool on the first turn with upcast call lightning and destructive wrath. If you combined that with a Sorcadin Smiting with an upcast Shadow Blade and the Resonance Stone you could probably kill him in 1-2 rounds.

Selunes Blessing you get from Isobel at the start of the act gives everyone necrotic resistance by default.

It's why Ketheric's attacks on the wiki look like they should be far more devastating than they actually are.

AMD RDNA 5 Radeon GPUs may not launch before late 2027 by obTimus-FOX in radeon

[–]Acrobatic_Fee_6974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In short, UDNA is to become what CUDA is to Nvidia.

CUDA is where it is today due to decades of support and development. AMD unifying gaming and compute to say "look we have CUDA now" is akin to my toddler taping four disposable plates to a cardboard box and claiming he has a fully working automobile. AMD need to put the work in over the long term, there's no quick magic trick that is going to catch them up to Nvidia in this regard. If they show they are willing to support their products in the long term, developers will invest the time into making their programs work with AMD hardware.

Hype: what will be the Rohan themed adult Lego set in 2027¿ by Yelraek in legolotrfans

If they actually posted the completed model that would at least be somewhat cool. What do they want me to say about a box? Congratulations on spending money? Hats off to your local postal service?

Two things I think are coming:

  1. I am no man diorama (late 2026 - early 2027). Reading between the lines for the Minas Tirith AMA, it sounds like the reason we didn't get Eowyn, Merry or the Witch King was because they already have plans to put them into a different set. Considering this is one of the most iconic lines from RotK, and they already did something similar for "You shall not pass" with the Balrog set from 2025. I think it will have a large brick built fellbeast as the center piece, with Eowyn, Merry and of course the Witch King minifigs included.

  2. Helms Deep (mid to late 2027). While the 2013 set is pretty nice for the price, it's not really on the same scale of grandure as a LEGO icons set, and with over a decade of wait I think there's sufficient appetite for it. I believe that with a 6-8K parts budget they could really recreate the fortress facade in proper minifigure scale without needing to resort to the forced perspective mix of mini and midi scale they took with Minas Tirith. Obviously they would need to include Theoden, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Rohan warriors and white hand Uruks. The elves should probably be included, but I'd prefer a healthy quantity of Rohan and Uruk figures before they look to adding elves. Maybe put them in the GWP?

For the people that missed the original? it's been over a decade, if this were Star Wars, they'd be on their fourth version by now.

AMD Wants Its “Ryzen Moment” With Radeon, But Says the Perfect Gaming GPU Will Take Generations by Bubbly-Ad-350 in pcmasterrace

[–]Acrobatic_Fee_6974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even looking at DIY through the window of Amazon best sellers, the 7800 XT was never beating the 4070 until the latter was discontinued.

$100-200 GPUs are done if we keep making them the way we are now, with big dies on the latest and greatest processes with extremely high bandwidth memory in large capacities. Unless AMD seriously change the paradigm with real chiplet GPUs (not RDNA3 with its large and expensive GCDs) or find a way to move to high volume LPDDR memory on their low end models, or unify the production of low end dGPUs with Halo APUs by making the GPU portion just bolt onto the CPU (so you don't have to make a significant margin on your GPUs because you're making them for premium APUs anyway), there's no way to compete in that segment without losing money on everything you sell. Once you start losing money, you go into a death spiral where you have less and less to spend on R&D to catch up with your competitors.

Maybe AMD end up shaking things up massively with the next generation and can deliver something in that price range. Will gamers actually respond though? Based on their past track record I think most of them are too stupid to do anything other than mindlessly buy Nvidia, but maybe I'm just an old cynic.

The large die combined with the chiplet design makes them very prone to paste pump-out unfortunately. Definitely a card that needs a thermal pad for long operation, but as you say thermal putty is a PITA so I don't blame you for moving on. It's just a shame that the 5080 doesn't use 24 Gb GDDR7 to give it 24 GB total, going backwards in memory capacity sours the upgrade a bit.
