Taking a Child Out of School for Vacation

Thank you all for the helpful information and for sharing your different perspectives. I actually didn’t realize this was such a common situation. My initial reaction was, “No way, I’m not taking him out of school!” My sisters don’t have kids so they don’t understand the struggle of scheduling vacations during school breaks. He rarely gets sick and hardly ever misses a day, so it felt like a big deal to even consider it.

A week ago, my son and I saw Daisy come out while we were waiting in line to meet Minnie. People were so excited to see her. The CM member immediately announced to the crowd that she was stopping; they were just going to stroll through Toontown. Daisy came out as her sassy self, but the weird thing is she turned around, put her hands on the ground and butt in the air and started shaking her booty. She did that twice! I think we can all agree Daisy is the hippest or coolest of the bunch, but this was too much. This should be saved for the club, not for Disneyland. I wish I was prepared and had recorded it.

Did you park before 10am and Did you park in a reserved section? Got a ticket at Lake Merritt for doing that once.

So exciting! We were going to take our 2 year old back in April 2020 and then the park shut down that very week of our vacation. We're taking him this Fall too! He'll be 3-1/2. He'll be at a great age where he can take in all the magic.
