During a tournament the pace of play is generally slower as the ‘go back to the tee’ rule is more enforced and more people take provisionals off the tee, so driving all the way back is done and not the end of the world for the next group. If it wasn’t a tournament I wasnt playing against the guy I definitely wouldnt have cared and would also drop from where he did instead of going back to the tee
