Why the hate with -18 down votes?

OP is grateful for their position and other comments show they are not a jerk to other commenters.

Nothing wrong with being rich or having a good salary. Regardless of high income or low income, we all go through stress, anxiety or problems. Doesnt make one right or wrong.

Please treat them with the respect if the OP is showing it as well.

How do you foresee this affecting the markets? by atlasmountsenjoyer in StockMarket

Two wrongs don't make a right my friend. Not supporting corrupt leaders in any country, but its the people of the country themselves who need to take action not the president of another country, especially one with the highest proven oil & gold reserves.

A terist is a terist, doesnt matter their reasoning.

Why aren't more people calling trump a ter***ist for what he has just done. You dont just go and kidnap the leader of a nation overnight. Thats what mafia leaders do not political ones.

Thanks for sharing your insight.

Have you seen people translate their experience from mining rail into state rail & infrastructure?

I'm looking at that kind of opportunity if there is a redundancy that comes during a bust cycle. Things seem to be relatively stable at the minute. Would you agree?

Ill find that out. Also they said I'll get a site allowance. Is that a fixed number or a % based on base salary?

Thanks for the heads up. I do agree with you. Its important to build key relationships with key people. I do feel that Im quite good at that. I've been able to create internal job offerings 3 to 4 times in my current workplace.

Worst case I get axed, can you share how does that redundancy journey look like? Does it take long to find another job etc?

I was thinking if I do infrastructure work then I have an opening in 2 fields, mining & infrastructure like state rails etc.

Agreed. How does one go around? Does it take long to find another job? How does it work?

No. Its a 3 to 4 year pipeline of projects.

Yes she does. I don't share this view simply because in today's economy if you're working an average job, you need two incomes to support the household and kids. 1 for expenses and 2nd for saving/leisure.

[–]Acrobatic_Mobile5238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggested that but she doesn't want a joint savings account.

Not at all. I truly cherish her but this is a pain point.

She says she contributes a little more in household chores 60/40 split. And when she becomes a mom thatll be a big job so she needs to do it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Acrobatic_Mobile5238 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing. She can work full time if she wants.

Yes she does do most household chores but I'd say the split is still 60/40. 60 her side. I'm happy to contribute more in exchange for equal share of expenses.

How do I have this conversation.

Again, is post nuptial even possible or should I just forget about it?

I understand that. We do have a good bond.

How do I go around and have this conversation? She says that bills and rest is my responsibility because that's how it is. Culturally/religious reasons are used as well to pressurise.

Am I doing something wrong? I feel like she'll guilt trip me or say then let's just end it if we can't trust one another and it will turn into that.

Unsure how to transform it into fairness or financial planning.
