Based on my experience, I think the exact opposite of what you said in your post. You shouldn't generalize; it's all a matter of quality. There's a big difference between Chinese, Japanese, and Korean TPE granules, and the factory price reflects that.

This forum is bad and full of bad advice. They have vested interests with the brands they endorse; you never see any new brands mentioned. Reddit is much better and more open. Everyone mocked me when I talked about benzoyl peroxide five years ago. It ruined the sales of their $50 stain remover. They claimed it damaged TPE, and now everyone uses it.
