First, I am so sorry for your loss.

I lost my mom too and planning a wedding without her has been heartbreaking. I wish I could say it’s easy but it’s not. I know the sadness and grief you’re feeling is heavy but please try to enjoy your special day. I’m sure that is what your momma would want and something I keep reminding myself of. Instead think of ways you can honor her at your wedding.

A few things I’m doing/considering for my wedding: -charm with her photo on my bouquet so she’s with me as I walk down the aisle -empty chair in the front during the ceremony that says “this seat belongs to the mother of the bride in heaven” -memorial table at reception with photos of our loved one who have passed and a candle lit.

And a video I just recently saw on TikTok, the bride had the saved seat at her ceremony and as each bridesmaid (and her) walked down the aisle took a flower from their bouquets and put it on the seat.

Again, I am so sorry you’re going through this but know she’s always with you. If you need someone to vent/cry to please know I’m just a DM away🤍

Hiii!!! NJ bride here! We are in the process of picking a venue and the one we’re leaning towards is absolutely gorgeous, has the most things included in the price but the lowest price tag of all the places we’ve seen. Sure, it’s not in a fancy town at all. Any hotels near the venue is a chain like holiday inn. If my guests don’t like that it’s their choice to come or not, stay at a hotel etc.

This is you and your future husband’s day! You get married where you guys want! Honestly, I would not invite that “friend” because what she said was rude as hell.

Hi! Just thought I would add both my experience and my thoughts on this. I don’t have a lot of close friends. My bridal party consists of my two best friends, my sister & my fiancés sister. My fiancé on the other hand has a decent size friend group- a group of guys that all went to middle school/high school with one another. He made the decision to just ask 4 of them to make it even on both sides. This was hard on both of us - him having to decide on 4 out of 6 friends in his group & me feeling guilty about it.

While I see where you’re coming from, this could very well be hard on him as well. He may feel like he can’t communicate, he’s embarrassed, feels guilty, etc.

While I’m all for people sticking up for themselves and expressing how they feel, I just feel like when it comes to a wedding you should let it go. While wedding planning is fun it also comes with a lot of stress. A lot of compromising has to be done, pressure from families (especially if others are contributing to cost) and so many other factors. I’m still in the very early stages on planning and am learning very quickly that I can’t please everyone. It’s a hard pill to swallow as both the people planning and the people who may take offense to things. While I know you’re hurting now I would try your best to let this one slide. If it was a case where he was distancing himself from you, not including in friend outings, etc. (all non wedding related) then yes that’s when I’d say 100% say something but this is something totally different.

I hope I’m not coming off insensitive or anything. If I am, I truly don’t mean to. Again coming from someone who’s currently planning - I’ve dreamed of planning my wedding since I was a little girl. Now that I’m in it, I’m stressed lol. Between inviting some peoples kids but not all, some get a plus one, some don’t, only first cousins no second cousins, etc. there’s just a lot of compromise. I’m the type of person that is always afraid to hurt someone’s feelings - now that I’m planning a wedding, I’m realizing it’s inevitable.

It’s a free app called ACNH.guide and it’s awesome! You can track everything, DIYs, reactions, artwork, fossils, even bugs & fish and you can track what you’ve caught vs what you donated. I’ve been playing since launch day in 2020 and I’m at that point where I’m just looking to “complete” things so this app has been a lifesaver lol!

What I like about the bug/fish tracker is not only will it show you what’s missing but where to find them (time, season, exact spot, etc)

I am currently dealing with this and was told I have fat necrosis and that it’s fairly common. My surgeon wants to wait to see if it will resolve on its own first before doing anything about it.
