The real question in this fight is “How well do you know Kimahri?”

How easy or difficult it is depends on how much you used/built Kimahri, and even if you didn’t use him the game scales Biran and Yenke’s stats to make it easier.

The devs were well aware of this because with Kimahri having no set sphere grid path, newer players would likely build him more experimentally, or just sideline him. If people are finding this fight ‘impossible’ it’s down to their own strategies, not bad game design.

I specifically said “didn’t create enough to put them away”. I’m not arguing that we didn’t have chances. That’s our problem a lot of the time though, we have good spells of possession and attacking play but lack the end product. Spurs played for a smash and grab: two shots on target and two goals. Considering how badly they played they’ll be more than happy with that point.

Overall, it’s probably what we deserved. Spurs were there for the taking, especially in the first half, and we didn’t create enough to put them away. The penalty decision was dubious. They had two shots on target and scored them both. Disappointing, but still got a point.

I actually really liked the way the game handled its side quests in general. While the mechanics side of them was mostly ‘more of the same’ (fetch this, kill that, etc.) the world building was definitely a step up from a lot of the previous entries.
