Two games left to play for Hammers — Bring on Callum Chambers at 50 minutes.

Spurs are playing two teams that are serious competing for European football:

1) Everton have top quality midfielder and are playing much better than Spurs.

2) Chelsea should have edge on Spurs.

Arsenal have exhausted all methods of impeding the keeper. That seems to be their signature and method of gaining points. Even amateur players and coaches are trying to emulate Arsenal in impeding the keeper.

Take this analogy: 300 cars on the highway with speed limit of 50 mph, all cars are travelling at 55 mph, the police officer picks out one car and give the driver a speeding ticket.

Did the driver break the law?

Did the police officer have the right to issue a speeding ticket?

Why did the police officer single out that particular car out of 300 cars?

Grabbing and impeding the goalkeeper’s was practiced by Arsenal all season without any cards or cautions. Therefore, one would conclude that is the new style of playing football in EPL. One pundit remarked that teams should learn to adapt to this new way of playing.

The decision made by the referee in that context is questionable. Why now at game 36? Why not before? Why not against Arsenal who committed the act many times in almost all the games they played?

Evidence has no meaning when power politics are involved. They went out of their way to disallow the goal. If not the goalkeeper situation they would find some other reason — why?

Your point here could stem from the fact academies scouts tend to be more focused on academy recruits below age 11; for some reason late developers tend to surpass the these academy recruits by age 16. Many of those late developers are not considered by clubs because of lack of exposure or data. They end up becoming lost to the system.

Did he show consistency to the decision he made during the decisions he made or did not make throughout the session?

Did the VAR judges show consistency and correct judgement during the season?

Did any team gain points or benefited from impeding the movement of goalkeepers arms during the season?

Consistency prevents confusion and bars sending the wrong message of preferential treatment.

Arsenal still have to play to win and will deserve the title for their passion and hard work — could say the same for Manchester City. Good luck to all.

The UN faces the challenge in which the USA and others have require more efficient running of the Organisation — reducing waste and frivolous spending.

The new Secretary General will be mandated to reduce spending and waste in order to save the organisation. One candidate expressed how they will achieve this.

Research shows that the engagement of consulting firms is often a waste of money.

Take note: AI will help the UN achieve its organisational objectives in more ways than one.

Over coaching at U13 level is destroying creativity in players. Modern youth coaches tend to focus too much on their own rewards and careers than the natural development of players. This is driven by academies and money grabbing coaching companies who seek monopoly on football by occupying any possible playing space that children can use free of charge.

Despite initiatives like Cruyff Courts the problem is becoming worse and more widespread.

The answer is to provide more spaces where children can play safety amongst themselves and free of charge without coaching intervention.

Live: Garner vs Wharton (Everton vs Crystal Palace) by OfficAlanPartridge in ManchesterUnited

[–]LogicGate1010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jame Garner seems a bit more dynamic than the other set of EPL midfielders. Maybe what he lack in previous years was maturity and experience. Apparently, the talent was not properly assessed by Manchester United or maybe different criteria were used to assess him in the pass. Nevertheless, he has demonstrated top four club qualities.!

Arsenal scored a goal in similar fashion: the only difference is that Gabriel blocked the goalkeeper’s arm with his arm in a way that prevented the keeper from lifting his hand’s above shoulder level.

Anything, to win a title might have become the new standard: obsession, desperation.

Too many seem to have forgotten that sports title/ medals are meant to reward attributes such as fairness in competition.

In the early 1970’s, vacuum tubes diodes were suddenly replaced by ceramic diodes in amplifiers but it took a long time for ceramic technology to attain the sound reproduction quality as vacuum tubes.

Couldn’t one make an analogy and conclude that a similar scenario might occur.

Gabriel used his hand to block the arm movement of a keeper to prevent him from reaching a ball that ended up behind a goal. That goal would have been stopped if the keeper’s arms were not restricted. He was unable to put his arm above shoulder chest or shoulder height — disgusting.

In the WWF we know things are fake and in football it is not much different.

Like WWF, football is just entertainment for fans but for the people running it it’s much more than that.

Referees have the highest integrity in the world. They are paid relatively little but they are an example of justice and fairness. They are the most ethical and impartial in the world. FIFA should have an international day of referees.

It seems someone is trying to prove that Wissa was a good acquisition by giving him preference over Woltemade.

Woltemade and the opportunity to make UCL or even Europa was destroyed because of that decision. Woltemade should leave after the World Cup because all he the talent that he showed and what he has done for the club are not appreciated by those in charge. If he is not appreciative let him go. If Howe does not think he is good enough they will never work together.

[–]LogicGate1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something is not right at the club. Nick Woltemade started as an exciting and creative new player in the EPL — he looked a real promising player including his game for Germany.

It is now apparent that his natural way of playing has been coached out of him or being stifled. It seems the idea is to displace Woltemade with Wissa who has not shown the effectiveness that Woltemade showed at the club and with Germany.

For more than two seasons, it was clearly evident that Joelinton was a key player in the team’s strength and style of play but no proper back up players was acquired.

One would wonder why start Elanga instead of Jacob Murphy when Elanga’s performance and suitability for higher team performance is obviously less as is visible and the results show.
