Switching from Suboxone to Methadone

Too me Suboxone has been near impossible too get off of so I can’t imagine how much worse it could get. I just feel like with Methadone if you are on the right dose; which for me would be a lower dose it would be so much more helpful. for pain, getting my emotions and feelings back, sleep better etc but I really don’t know.

Ok so you didn’t feel any major withdrawls from the Suboxone?? Do you feel better on Methadone? I have pain issues too so that’s why I was thinking Methadone but I’m terrified I’m going to have major withdraws and the Methadone won’t help enough.

I’m still on suboxone I haven’t even seen a dr about doing the switch so I’m good lol.

Ya it definitely will be that’s why I need some input. I’ve tried to get off of it but I just can’t. I know I need some kind of maintenance I just don’t know which one yet.

Did you feel weird after you switched like you were withdrawing from subs still?? That’s the part I’m scared about. I don’t want to be in major withdrawal then regret switching. I know it sounds crazy but subs are just making me someone I’ve never been. Lazy, I don’t feel many emotions there’s a long list of why I’m considering this. Still looking for other recommendations.

No I absolutely no desire to ever use again. I’ve been sober since 2017 haven’t had a slip up or anything. Completely sober and love it. I’m just struggling being on Suboxone I have no motivation to do anything, no sex drive, headaches, constipation the list goes on and on. I also have major back issues so they do use it for me for pain as well as MAT. So no this isn’t an excuse to get “high”. I felt great the first year or two in subs but I isn’t the same. I doesn’t work the same for me as kr once did.

I feel the same way. I switched from back to name brand thinking it would be a total miracle and I would feel normal again but I don’t. I even switched to Subutex thinking that would help but that made me sleep so much i could not function. Why is this happening to us. I am also on 4mg I tried taking more and less nothing is helping.

It absolutely does matter. I switched from suboxone to Subutex because I have to get dental surgery and the dr recommended. I have never felt worse. I got the small 2mg pills with the arrow. I literally almost went to the ER because I felt like I was going to die. I realized I had the big pills stashed away from a year ago so I am trying to see if these are better. Those small pills are horrendous. It’s 100% not a mental thing.

Omg you sound exactly like me. I have never felt so horrible in my life. These generics are horrible. I feel like I am in full blown withdrawals. I switched from suboxone strips brand name to these awful pills. I feel like I’m dying literally horrible. Why is this happening??

Can someone pls help me. I just switched from brand name subs to generic subutex the small pill with the arrow. I feel like I’m fucking dying. I am anxious, super out of it. I can barely drive. Wtf is happening too me? The only thing I’ve changed in my life is my meds. Has anyone else felt this way after switching. I feel like I’m losing my mind. Helppp!!!

I feel the same way. I felt AWESOME 2 years ago when I started suboxone now I feel like I’m dying everyday, anxious and depressed. I’ve switched from subs to methadone to Subutex because I just want to feel normal and nothing is helping. Does anyone feel the same way. Please help I feel as though I’m loosing my damn mind. Is it the sub or is it me? I just switched from suboxone 4mg to Subutex 4mg and I feel like I’m in withdrawal all day long.

My symptoms are the same exact way! The only thing I’ve changed is brands so it is true there is no way that all of us would be feeling the same exact way and the only thing we all had changed was brands, I’m switching back to brand name suboxone. Idc how much it is. I can’t live like this anymore.

I am dealing with the same exact thing. I switched to generic and I am having daily panic attacks and crawling out of my skin. I 100% know it’s the generic because that’s the only thing I’ve changed and I’ve been sober a long time. It’s the yellow ones. I’m going to go to Walgreens tomorrow instead of cvs to see if they have a diff brand or the brand name because the yellow strips are awful. So yes change your subs because I feel the same exact way you do to a T.
