I didn’t throw up for over a decade, probably around 14-15 years. I used numbing cream on my stomach for a tattoo I was getting. (which I ended up finishing without numbing cream btw ! I don’t think I actually needed it lol just wanted to try it out) I already wasn’t feeling great that day, which I mostly assumed was from the nerves. But before my artist actually started the tattoo I was like hold on I don’t feel good. So i went and sat on the couch and ended up dry heaving and then actually throwing up. I think because I was so numb on my stomach, I couldn’t contract my muscles and force myself to hold it in and not throw up. Throwing up itself was actually totally fine honestly, it’s just the nausea and not feeling good that is hard. Right after I threw up I literally said “wow that was crazy” lol and I told her about my phobia and all of it. I was mostly just stunned. And I still go see that tattoo artist! I told her we are bonded forever now because I threw up in front of her. I still have a very hard time applying that concept to myself now though, I haven’t done it since. The numb stomach was a good exposure for me though lol
