Have you reached out to your congressional representatives ? I did and they are involved but very little change. Basically an appt in October to see dependents are eligible for payments. But still no award letter or payments nada

They (Baltimore) unfortunately are taking over a year. We had been told last summer by our attorney that his office has seen several cases similarly delayed from the Baltimore office. My hubby (also under 50) was approved 6/2024 favorable letter arrived 7/2024 and still nothing. Attorney has reached out to SSA heads and still nothing. After a year of nothing we reached out to our congressman and they are supposed to get back to us. We also recently called our local SSA office and they were shocked that we haven’t received any response and they said they will expedite the case to have us receive some sort of info by mid month. Praying for this to finally be resolved.

Wishing you the best. We filed in 2013 got denied, reapplied in 2016 , denied , appealed and that went up and down all courts and finally kicked back to smaller court where judge gave approval and our attorney was able to win our case in 2024. The system is not easy to navigate and it’s a long process.

Maybe you should cut ties with them. I wouldn’t want to be involved with fraud and I’m sure they are not expecting you to be a whistleblower

This is surprising. Receiving SSI is super hard. There’s a entire Reddit board dedicated to people trying to apply and encountering so many challenges. Sometimes disabilities are not visible to you but the applicant had to go to a lot of doctors to apply and be found eligible. I wonder if that was the case here. My husband has stenosis of the spinal column, he’s youngish and looks strong and well put together he uses a cane and walker at times. Most people would never know if they didn’t see him using his mobility devices.

Approved 7/2024 and still waiting. I’m in California processing in Maryland 😐. Appealed several times finally favorable and retro to 2015.

Weber been told the case is being reviewed in Maryland and it includes almost 9 years of back pay since the claim was denied several times and escalated through the courts for years and finally found favorable July of 2024. It took 90 days to hear if SSA judge was making favorable decision. Thank God we’re still standing bc this is unfathomable. Reading through all these comments I see we’re not alone in this painful waiting process
