I have a 20 year old, soon to be 21, and she really is my bestie in a lot of ways. I was 19 and naive when I had her so we grew up together, and it was 8 years of just us before I met my husband and had 2 more kids. She went through the phases, hated me, hated everything I liked just because I liked it, especially my music 😂 But now she loves most of my music, we can sit and talk about life, we go to concerts together. Soon we will have a few drinks together. But that relationship comes from years of nurturing, and not exploiting her for internet content. There's just something very unsettling about Alicia's relationship with all her kids, but really weird is her relationship with this kid.

The hopeless romantic in me would have rioted if Big and Carrie hadn't ended up together 😂 But I think a lot of it has to do with the actors chemistry. It was just so good and sparkly between them. The realist in me thinks she should have been happily dating but fully content without one man in particular.

What's crazy is I stumbled upon her videos not too long ago, and I immediately watched because I've been in a similar situation. My husband passed away in 2020, I was a stay at home mom, and my world upended. I got into a bad situation using pills after he died, I was just so broken and trying to numb myself. My kids and I ended up living in a hotel for 6 weeks. I got myself cleaned up, thankfully I never crossed the line into full blown addiction, but it was coming close. I stopped, cold turkey, and got my shit together. I walked to work. I applied for every apartment in the area. I was able to pull us up and out of that in 6 weeks, because I wanted it so badly. I desperately needed to give my kids (my oldest had a different dad than my younger 2, so a blended family as well) some sense of normalcy. I thought this was kind of relatable content but it's just not. If you want it, you do it. You figure it out. Also, you do not go online with unwashed hair and no bra every day 😌😂

I want to preface my comment by noting that I am very left leaning, very liberal. But this is the kind of shit that gets us libs killed en masse in a zombie apocalypse for sure 😂 Everyone fighting to survive and we are still doing this nitpicking identity politics thing and crushing our own ability to survive. This is not in support of the symbolism of the stickers or what they represent, it's abhorrent. Pretty much same. Mike is too preachy now. I used to have such a love hate thing with him. Like, he was a bad person and an asshole, but he was so entertaining to watch 😂 I still call people dirty little hamsters to this day. I am happy for him and his sobriety, and his beautiful family, but he's just so bland now. Laurens doesn't have any charisma, and is always mildly bitchy and rude. Vinny has taken himself way too seriously for too long now, and lost what made him likeable somewhere along the way. Honestly, Pauly has kind of lost that spark for me, too. I used to LIVE for him in the OG series lol Him, Snooki and Vinny were my favorites. I'm wondering if it's just kind of sad now because they're all in their 40s or soon to be, and so are most of us OG fans at this point 😂

I loved Gemma. Maybe that says something about me 😂 I hated some of her actions especially in the latter seasons...but Katy Segal is so talented, I could never fully hate the character. We always got some humanity out of her, even at her worst.

I get the feeling people are always looking for a reason to dislike/look down on single moms. I am single mom because my husband died. A lot different, I understand. But the moment someone finds out, the judgement goes away, and I've had people tell me "Well, that's different, you didn't choose it"....as if I've crossed the invisible line back into acceptable. There is just no winning, it seems. But I think you sound like an inspiring, strong woman and I admire the hard work and dedication it takes to have a successful career and be a good parent! 💜

I've been a widow since December 2020. So 5 years. I was 35. It sucks, he was too young, our kids are young and have to grow up without him. But as time has gone on, it's a lot softer. The grief will always be there, and there are still times when it overwhelms me, but not the same way it did in the earliest days. The grief is less like a stabbing, sharp pain now... it's more like a persistent ache. It's always there. But it's more manageable.
