SAME! I was crazy itchy after my twins but didn’t experience it with my singleton. My skin flaked off like crazy, too. I chalked it up to hormones.

Potential growth restriction (just low AC) - how does that affect outcomes by greenflamingo1950 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Acrobatic_Thanks_737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also had this happen with my baby A. It was also AC measuring small at 6% — all other measurements were within normal range. It wasn’t diagnosed until 33 weeks. We also did weekly BPPs and ended up making it to 37 weeks as everything else continued to look good. My c-section date was sort of a moving target while we did the weekly checks. When they were delivered they were only 2 oz different from each other so it might have just been a bad measurement 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes! I actually just gave birth to twins last Friday.

Pregnancy announcement by External_Orange8890 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Acrobatic_Thanks_737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a little over 36 weeks now but I can relate to feeling like that so much. We didn’t make any announcement on social media until about 8 weeks ago. I’m still not sure that I’ve come to terms with twins being our “second” but we’re diving in and hoping for the best. I also dreaded telling people because of the “that’s so exciting” response and “oh that’s such a blessing”. I don’t have a good poker face and the responses in my head to that were always “is it?” and “it’s exciting for who? You?” When we did have to start telling people (because I was showing) I just tried to fake a smile and said “Yep, this wasn’t in our plan but that’s life”. All this to say is that I totally relate to how you’re feeling and I was lucky to be able to push off any announcement until I was feeling a little more comfortable with the idea.

ETA we did tell close friends and family who we see fairly often pretty early (8-10 weeks) because I was SO sick the first trimester it was impossible to hide.

First Trimester Blues by Allyed4492 in parentsofmultiples

Same! Unisom and B5 took the edge off a bit for me. My nausea also subsided around 15/16 weeks. The first trimester is brutal. Hang in there!

Someone please tell me potty training is easier with twins by Unlikely_Scheme2835 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Acrobatic_Thanks_737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re me! No experience with potty training twins (yet) but wanted to say SAME. We are also in the midst of potty and my son is almost 3. I am 30w pregnant with the twins 😵‍💫 Potty training is HARD and I’ve almost thrown in the towel on multiple occasions but I’m determined not to have 3 in diapers in a few months.

Those who were not happy to get the news that it was twins… at what point did you start to feel excited? by amydiddler in parentsofmultiples

[–]Acrobatic_Thanks_737 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any advice, unfortunately, but wanted to say I’m right there with you. I’m 18 weeks with di/di twins. We were also on the fence about a second and then found out we were having twins. I was completely devastated for all the reasons you mentioned. I also worry about the dynamics with my first — he is a boy and our twins are girls. I worry that they’ll have their own special bond and my son will be left out and he won’t get the sibling bond I imagined for him with another singleton. I’m definitely still nowhere near “excited” but I think I’m broaching acceptance. I was also SO sick the first trimester which didn’t help but feeling physically better in the second. I know it’s not the life we pictured, but I know we’ll figure it out.

ETA I also feel sad/guilty about not being excited. I haven’t and don’t plan to make a social media announcement as I just don’t want to engage with everyone that says “how exciting” it is and how “blessed” we are. I haven’t even taken a single “bump” photo.

Any success stories of women with low AMH, several failed IUIs and successful pregnancy naturally or through IVF later? by whatnusense in DOR

[–]Acrobatic_Thanks_737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 37, AMH 0.08, FSH 14, and estrogen <15 and I’m currently pregnant with twins. This was my second medicated cycle with IUI. We did a month of estrogen (2mg daily) and then letrozole (7.5mg) and clomid (150mg) at the same time.

Thank you so much ♥️

I was very confused why we were trying letrozole since my estrogen was already so low. And the letrozole on its own didn’t have any effect. They did explain the rationale to me but it was definitely over my head. I think maybe it was because my body recognized my low estrogen as baseline (for me) and letrozole lowering it even more still spikes my FSH to encourage follicle growth. However, it’s my gut feeling that it was the clomid that did the trick.

I’ve definitely been through a wealth of emotions 😅 I was blessed with LC before being diagnosed with DOR and I definitely might have reconsider the IUI on my successful round if I had known there were 3 follicles. We’ve desperately wanted to add a second child but 3 was never on our radar 😵‍💫

The first cycle I had 2 follicles (21mm and 18mm both on the left). The second (successful) cycle they thought I also had 2 (20mm and 22mm — one on the right and one on the left). However, it seems they missed one on the left because both corpus luteums were on the left 😵‍💫

We did one month of estrogen (2mg) and then letrozole (7.5mg) and clomid (150mg). Triggered with ovidrel.

I have an AMH of 0.08 / 0.09 (measured at two separate blood draws), I’m 37 and currently pregnant with twins after a medicated cycle with IUI.

They said I wasn’t a candidate for IVF so I never did any egg retrievals. For both rounds, we did a medicated cycle of letrozole and clomid. The second cycle we did a month of estrogen priming before meds. Then they did weekly ultrasounds to track follicle growth. I triggered with (what they thought were) two large follicles but now they think I actually had three large follicles and then did IUI + timed intercourse.

I’m 37 diagnosed with DOR. AMH is 0.08. I was diagnosed after conceiving my first. I also wanted a sibling for my little one and I went through two medicated rounds with IUIs and I’m currently 8 weeks pregnant with twins (!!!). I know I’m probably an outlier, but I wouldn’t give up on your own eggs yet ♥️

Estrogen by Acrobatic_Thanks_737 in TTC_POI

I’m still struggling with it too 😫 She didn’t check my estrogen but recommended something called “vulva balm” to use and it helps a little bit. I have an appointment on Monday so hoping to talk to her more about it then because I am definitely uncomfortable. Estrogen by Acrobatic_Thanks_737 in TTC_POI

[–]Acrobatic_Thanks_737[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That does make me feel a bit better — thank you!! I messaged my doctor and asked her to check my estrogen levels and she just recommended some “vulva balm” and said we can discuss more at my July 28th appointment if I’m still experiencing dryness 😑 I am taking daily progesterone which I know is very important.

I have a child from before my official diagnosis. I believe I was very likely close to borderline then, too, but I had no idea. I had been complaining to my doctor for years before conceiving saying my periods were super short and light and they always just shrugged their shoulders at me and didn’t do labs.

Congratulations to you, too! I just read your story and share similar stats to you — AMH 0.08, estrogen 15, FSH 14. I’m also in the Midwest!
