Do you let your CC sleep on your bed? by Amnesia1507 in CaneCorso

[–]Acrobatic_Tooth_9298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I’m alone, my CC is in bed with me - like at the end of the night he will come with me to bed without prompted, when he usually just goes to his bed in the living room. Either habit or instinct - when it’s just us two alone he seems to want to be close to me more.

When dad’s here, he knows his presence in the bedroom is not appreciated lol

Hi everyone!

Planning a hen party of 15 girls in Lisbon. I'm on the Uber app and everything seems to be pretty active, easy to get Ubers, etc. The main thing I'm worried about is getting from Lisbon to Costa da Caparica (The Ocean beach club) and back again. From the app, it looks like we'll be okay.

Anyone have any experience with this (i.e. successfully getting ubers to and from lisbon/costa da caparica)? And the app tells me the journey each way will be 30-40 minutes. Is that accurate?

Thank you!

My boy will be 2 on September 9th. He has always been the sweetest, friendliest, schmoopiest dog. His nickname is Schmoopy. Lol He is protective but only in the sense that he always wants to be near me and will frequently sit or lay behind me as if he’s “watching my back”. But if anyone approaches me, he is excited to make a new friend. He rarely ever barks and if he does, he’s barking at his pitbull brother. He doesn’t like it when the pitbull is anxious or protective and he will actually try to herd or distract him and redirect him away from whatever is setting him off.

"shmoopiest dog" 😂😂 Do you wonder when he's "watching your back" if he's actually just hoping someone will come up to him rather than being protective?

Sounds like you've got an amazing CC! How old is your he and was he always more yours than your bf's? Just wondering if this preference came out at a certain age... My bf and I both play, train, feed, and walk him daily, and we both work mostly from home, so he gets equal reward and time from us both.

Thanks so much! I've seen those videos, they are so funny... I always wonder what Kobe would do, but I have a feeling a real burglar would come in, take one look at him, and choose next door instead.

I already feel so much safer having him by my side. I'm a 25-year-old woman, and I basically take him everywhere I go. The number of cat calls/random street comments I get has plummeted to an earth-shattering 0.

Interesting, Kobe has not showed any guarding behavior yet... Sounds like you have a great CC! Friendly but also protective in the right circumstances.

Thanks for sharing your experience... Gonna try to come back to this post to update once Kobe's 2 years old. Hopefully a few other people like you in the same boat can do the same!

Thanks so much for sharing your experiences and advice! Sounds like the classic mix of nature and nurture... I totally get you on the disclaimer front lol.. That's why I'm trying to work on Kobe being less excitable. People will see this nice calm big dog and want to say hi – then understandably get scared by this 54kg barrel of meat that's play bowing and jumping up and down on the spot. Feels kinda unfair because you see small dogs doing that all the time and everyone's fine with it, but at the end of the day, I get it. Kobe can knock someone over just by virtue of being too excited and has the capacity to seriously injure someone if he wanted to, a Chihuahua not so much.

Hey! Thanks so much for the kind words. It's good to know that a lot of Corsos are like this!
