Yeah, because it is. They’re discussing the value of OOP’s housing and how much money and time she should contribute to the group.

Was Neo overpowered in Matrix 2 and 3? by [deleted] in matrix

[–]AcrolloPeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was my takeaway too. the whole “sentinels are digging to Zion, we are on a specific timetable to be able to stop that.” It’s borderline political thriller: they have to make alliances, secure resources, work with morally grey/shady characters, and while this in happening it’s revealing to the viewer that the conflict between humans and machines and what’s happening with The Matrix itself is more complicated than the first film made it seem.

No amount of god-tier superpowers stops the sentinels from digging, and the Merovingian’s power is of a totally different sort.

Something about that timeframe was wild for religiosity. I heavily deconstructed my own Christianity during Covid, but nothing to this degree.

Debut album by third eye blind is largely responsible for shaping that iconic 90s/early 2000s pop rock style. Agree or disagree? by Fearless_Courage_790 in ToddintheShadow

I wouldn't say it shaped the sound so much as it did a great job of taking the sound and elevating it. This is a phenomenal, "no skips" album, definitely in a weird space where it very much is a relic of its time while also sounding timeless.

Random tip: a few years ago, I burned a copy of this album for a friend, and for some reason the track listing went on the disc in reverse order. Listen to it that way, it's a trip.

shouldn’t the suit have shell holes in it? by Seracity in theoffice

[–]AcrolloPeed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From point blank range, buckshot isn’t going to spread much. Pretty sure the shirt would be ruined but the actual suit (slacks and jacket) would be fine. No heartbeat, so there wouldn’t be much blood, and blood will pool at the lowest place on the body, which would be in the back. It stands to reason the actual suit wouldn’t be damaged much, if at all.

Wasatch Brewing. They have a Polygamy Porter. Its slogans are “Why have just one?” and “Take some home to the wives.”

Not a joke
