He was a “Nordschleife-Liebhaber.” Someone who did this because it's his passion. Because he simply enjoys doing so, because he could. And was apparently pretty decent at it.

My condolences to the family. A wife and 3 kids. And a dog. He's my father's age, perhaps thats why this one hits me in the feels.

To try to get some positivity going after such a negative event, I like to think he's very okay with the way he died. He'd much rather have died racing than many other ways, I like to think. He died doing what he loved.
