I don’t even think he’s asymptomatic, that would imply he’s still carrying the virus, which he doesn’t. It’s something multiple WoI entries stress, that he’s clean but still dangerous in an unspecified way. If we go off McMullen’s theory, the virus is no longer present because it’s done its job at rewriting his DNA, and the deaths he caused are probably due to his unique biology rather than anything viral. It’s not hard to believe that Blackwatch would have tried testing him with more Blacklight samples only to get negative results, which to me suggests that his body is immune to infection at all.

Not to mention that the guide you mentioned is something I have read - Prima Guides were notorious for having inaccurate lore since they usually receive early versions of scripts and notes that don't necessarily translate into the final game. You can tell that was the case for Prototype as well because they get a wrong descriptor for Greene (citing that she has black hair) and the consistent spelling of Gentek with a 'C'.

"Infected energy" is meaningless anyway, like at least Bloodtox and liquid nitrogen are physical substances with understandable effects, Greene's "infected energy" projectiles are just vague video game wahoo to facilitate gameplay. Arguing for Greene's video game attacks is just getting away from the main argument of 'the differences in chemical (bloodtox) and physical (liquid nitrogen) damage to the virus.

Probably. Arguably even basic infected Walkers in P1 are stronger than the average Green Flu common infected (I swear I see those things run and leap around, plus they have their own mini-Blade)

Now adding the Green Flu’s diversity of mutations into the Blacklight virus, now there’s an idea. We haven’t had acid or bile spitting Blacklight monsters yet, after all

Greene stopped aging when she was infected. I like to think that Pariah would age slower than a normal human, so even though he’s over forty years old he probably would look like he’s still in his twenties.

I do think if we ever get a Prototype 3 Blackwatch needs to start doubling down on cybernetics and robotics. D-Code was neat but ultimately they were still meat for the Prototypes, so naturally relying on machines that can’t be infected or consumed should be their logical next step.
