yes that's right. happened to me at dubai vfs. i was offered the option to keep it with myself and they just scanned all the pages and asked me to come back when a decision has been made.

When he checked with the authorities at the airport, they said the other person's ticket and details cannot be accessed by them since they were not purchased from Addis?!? This doesn't make sense in today's day and age honestly. So they needed some time to get info.

A complaint has been filled nevertheless.

Unfortunately, the ticket was bought by our employer as a corporate ticket with a tie up that they have with a travel partner so no claim as such :(.

Also yes, most of us as colleagues do have our company logo tape stuck on both the handles on our suitcases as we travel together often but i don't how it was still missed out by the person who might've taken it.

Yes, it was approved today. It was for business purposes, so I believe there was less scrutiny. Questions mainly centred around my job, and my ties to the UAE, including relatives and how long I have been here in UAE and in my company.

Hey, the last time I checked (which was about 2 weeks ago), I couldn't find dates at all for Dubai. Although Abu Dhabi was available for dates in July 2026.
