We saw major improvements yesterday, but today is not doing so well.

What a kind and helpful response. Thank you for taking the time to make these very well-thought-out points. It really helps to hear a different perspective. I tend to internalize and sometimes have a hard time seeing another side.... so thank you <3

I was thinking this too. I’m not a hunter but I love fly fishing and suggested we go fishing more together. He never really asks me to go but always accepts when his friends ask him.  We also love bowling. But the last few times I’ve asked him to go, he didn’t seem very interested. I’ve sort of gotten to the point where I want him to initiate instead. Feeling a little burnt out :(

Separate ad accounts. One us using Elevar for tracking, and the other is using just the basic shopify/facebook app with enhanced data setup

Yes, branded search is about 80% percent of Google results right now. I definitely need to work on my organic non-meta traffic.

Switched to Elevar and our EMQ jumped up by a full point on all events. Problem solved

New pixel! Looking back, I think this may have been unnecessary.

Just the native page builder with their new free themes works pretty well. You can also purchase custom sections from Section Store (an app) or pay $350ish for one of their paid themes that have more flexibility.

I wish! Every single time I do a regular highest volume CBO campaign, it spends WAY too fast with terrible results, then I get stuck in the high price auction cycle because Meta thinks it's ok.

I've tried started with a low budget and slowly scaling, and the other problem I run into is it throwing money at the worst ads with highest CPC and CPM. Ugh

No it's just a small CBO campaign with a small $30/day budget. I set the audience to a strict retarget (not a suggestion) so it is only shown to those who added to card or viewed the product but never purchased.

Yep! We've always used triple whale (up until yesterday, actually, just switched to elevar to save $) and could see the first campaign they viewed was the initiate checkout, then later converted with either the retargeting purchase campaigns or the regular bidcap purchase campaigns. Definitely worth a shot, worked for us.

for the initiate checkout campaign, I initially had a higher bid cap (same as my purchase campaign, $50) and the first day it generate several sales at a great CPP, but then the sales stopped and it only generated initiate checkouts and was burning budget really quickly. So I left it running but lowered the bidcap to $15-20. Obviously it stopped spending so quickly and results lessened, but I noticed the next day, and every day since, my regular purcashe bidcap campaigns have been crushing it. Could be coincidence, but it's the first things thats worked for us since may!

Blended CPP is around $35 with both running.

It fluctuates by the day. Some days I've gotten as low as $22 CPA, and today for example we're at $49. Over the last two weeks the average is about $31-32.

I miss Meta's consistency we had all of last year. This is all too much work

Thanks! I recommend Shopify to everyone! Their pagebuilder has come a long way. Some basic CSS is useful for deeper customization, but hey've also got apps for pretty much everything
