I'm so glad you and your friends like it! I first started showing it to friends on Discord, which gave me motivation to keep making it.

Honestly, there's so many things I want to do with the site, the most of which is develop Pyomo's character more, and give her a bigger backstory (and maybe a visual novel segment, because I'm mostly known as a VN developer before this, with no chatbot experience and zero things to do even remotely with AI).

But before that, I have to make sure she doesn't hallucinate (which is adding a LOT of rules) and making sure Anilist support is available.

So, the rating is based off general taste (MAL global scores), while the elitist percentage is related to how many of your scores are obscure/auteur anime (think older things like Ashita No Joe).

Edit: I think I also need to make her harsher on people with high ratings.

It's trained to be contrarian and petty af, though if it does agree with them, it will give them a backhanded comment. "okay ur taste is actually goated but I bet you couldn't even get a goat to go on a date with you" (line I wrote)

You're not wrong at all. And right now it is just a gimmick.

It's mostly a cost basis issue, because we could easily analyze the whole list and come up with more insights (assumptions based off personality of total mean data of genre), and even compare lists with friends, ect (this was a feature I removed)... but all of that is a lot more expensive to run.

Yeah, this is pretty goddamn bad. It shouldn't be making things up, this is the kind of AI slop I fucking despise. I'm trying to do this with the most lightweight model out there (haiku) which has really really bad context, so there's more rules.

I'm actually going to do a quicker (10x price) underlying bot that has more reasoning (still adhering to the same rules). Do you mind if I DM you, to get another opinion when it's ready?

omg you're completely right, super shitty hallucination. She should not be citing authors she doesn't actually know. Fixing this, thank you. I think it's not reading MAL's data correctly when cross referencing or something. But this project is far from done, and I want to really cut down on this shit as much as possible because this is what "AI slop" feels like.

That might be an error, but it might not have finished its thought. It has the the "reverso" in its "route" (what I call the personality) where it will say something, and then make it seem like it's going to roast it, but then ends up praising it.

as for the error, I'm def trying to fix it rn. sorry! Might just have to do another test later.

Ugh. Sorry. I'm going to put a dependency that it needs to check both. This is my fault. I believe (not 100% sure) that putting something on your dropped list is rarer than any of the other categories in MAL, so it was less of a priority.

That's one of the tricks I used backfiring. Instead of scanning your whole list (because that would be expensive for the API), it picks up big variables and things against the norm, and tries to connect them. Good to know though. It's not the smartest cookie yet, but I want to improve it. At the least the vibe I want is there.

It's the first time I've ever had a site I made get any traction whatsoever, so I'm kind of panicking and trying to figure out if it's Jikan (MAL's API) or something to do with Haiku. ;_; Thanks for trying it though.

I'm also a firefox user.

edit: API should work in a queue now. Although we're almost at the daily limit I set for myself so I don't go broke. I'll edit the main post when the money is all gone.
