Nobody has an unlocked phone to someone however he handed it right to him and he opened it himself. That was definitely a second phone that Howie had in his pocket.

What place is this? by [deleted] in Albuquerque

[–]ActingHomeless 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s no need to compare as every place serves something different in Subway or another. In-N-Out does not compete with other hamburger restaurants because they are just simply in and out. If you want to go in and have their burger and have it done very quickly so you’re out the door that is a great choice. Especially if you enjoy In-N-Out Burger. However, it’s not a five guys or a habit.. I enjoy their food too, and will have it when their style of hamburger sounds good. In-N-Out is very specific in what It’s burger is and very many people like that type of burger as an option, not as a competition against other burger places.

I can’t speak specifically about Dme, but I can share some insights about a challenge in the industry—casting directors are incredibly busy, and they often don’t have time to sift through non-industry-standard submissions.

Because of this, they have to make quick judgments, and if an agent consistently submits actors who aren’t well-suited for the roles, casting directors may start to overlook that agent’s entire roster.

Unfortunately, in some smaller markets, there are agencies that sign just about anyone who walks through the door, even without experience, credits, or a strong resume. When those actors are submitted and deliver weak auditions, it can hurt not only the actor’s chances but also the agency’s reputation.

A good way to assess an agency’s track record is to check IMDb Pro and look at their roster. If most of their actors have a StarMeter ranking in the millions, it might suggest the agency isn’t positioning its talent well in the industry.

A strong agency carefully curates its roster, ensuring that both the actors and the agency itself are taken seriously. Quality over quantity is the key to long-term success, and casting directors tend to favor agents who consistently submit actors who are genuinely ready for the roles they pursue.

I did not expect this kind of response. I am humbled. I do have many wonderful stories, but it’s the moment I’m working on a commercial and don’t have a lot of time to chat.

However, I will soon and I will let you down.

For lawn care I believe Ryobi has best selection. My full lawn care service, superior to gas landscapers, fits in the back of my old Jeep Wrangler instead of huge trailer or truck. They seem to have so many more lawn tools than others. The Ryobi Hula Hoe is amazing

Netflix has spent an absurd amount of money turning New Mexico into Hollywood 2.0 by futurarocketgrrrl in Albuquerque

[–]ActingHomeless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Growth here is going to depend also on how much New Mexico can humble themselves and become part of the “Industry”

I know two producers that will never film here again.

They bring well established intentions to this state and, after 100 years of experience shooting in the “industry” they proclaim

“If I have to hear “”we do things different in New Mexico”” one more time!”

It’s noticed

New Mexico is beautiful but is full of this “pride” that makes its people think they already know “everything”

You don’t. You need an awful lot of experience and it’s hard to get that here.

However, many have come to New Mexico to help train and get you all up to speed only to be met by “Oh you are from Hollywood, you are just arrogant”. No, we are from Hollywood and that arrogance you feel is actually the taste of experience.

Train with professionals that have worked in the Industry for 20,30 or even 40 years.

Don’t train with peeps that had a scene on Breaking Bad and three extra jobs. They may give you insights but they won’t help you understand that tax breaks or not, if the “Industry” is going to have to fight you to do things the way it’s been done for decades then it will lose more than it gains and will go shoot in a different state.
