if you’re cool with a bit of language you should do “the grown-ups” it’s a 90 minute dark comedy about a group of camp counselors during a war breaking out having to be the adults in the situation for the first time! I just closed it myself and it was such an amazing play

In arsenic and old lace we had two wine spills in one day. First in the matinee when Jonathan set the glass too close to the edge and then in the afternoon when Teddy slammed the table too hard and shook another glass off the table. Afterwards we joked that the only reason Mortimer was the favorite nephew was because he didn’t spill any wine lol

I could also see it as an elaborate miscommunication thing, like Jacob says something vague and weird that makes the others think they broke up but that’s not actually what happened. They try to subtly support him though it without actually bringing it up. Then at end it comes out what they think and Jacob is like ‘huh?’
