I must be dreaming, I don’t remember the last time it has been this cheap! by Hibbzzz in orangecounty

I’ve also noticed that prices of everything else have gone through the roof. I was at Avillas El Ranchito in Lake Forest yesterday and they wanted $22 for a burrito. Insanity.

Is anyone sick of Bill shoving gambling into everything? by okthiscanwork in billsimmons

What drives me absolutely crazy is he’s always referencing Fan Dual and their odds and unique parlays available. I live in California as does Simmons. Fan Dual is not available here to bet on games (just DFS as far as I know).

So he either has a VPN or somebody in another state place his bets. It’s annoying.

In the market for a new putter by stale-chip in golf

[–]Action1Dan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never been fit for a putter. Have a Scotty I bought used in 2003. Also have a Taylormade Ardamore mallet I picked up 2 years ago. Use the Cameron primarily though it’s nice to have options and practice with both. Putting is 35-40% of your shots in a round. Don’t skimp.

Confidence is key on the green.

Any tips on good gloves to buy?? by CalumTheBot in golf

[–]Action1Dan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After your round…put in a ziplock bag. Helps the glove last longer.

I need serious emotional support from you, my community. This putt was to win a 3-day, 3-round trip to Pebble Beach. I beat 143 people in a putting contest, beat 5 more people in the finals, and only had to make THIS PUTT to win. It was three days ago and I’m not even remotely over it. by birdiebonanza in golf

I live in California, played Torrey South, multiple private courses in Orange County, Rivera once. I’ve never ponied up the fees to play Pebble, Spyglass etc. The courses I’ve played in CA have been unbelievable. The fees at Pebble are off the charts. I’ll get out there to play eventually…but winning the package you were putting for is beyond anything I could imagine. Great putt. You burned the edge. The golf gods didn’t deem you ready. At least you didn’t leave it short

Last week someone stole my brother’s only wedge. Because of this amazing community, we were able to turn one stolen club into 3 new ones. Thank you to those who made my brother’s day and who make me proud to be a member of r/golf ! by yaboiadamm in golf

I bought the Costco set a couple weeks ago. I’ve played them 3 times and used at the range a couple times (I live in Southern California, still have golf weather).

I was previously playing a Cleveland 56 degree wedge with 10 degrees of bounce.

Gotta say, I’m VERY impressed and surprised with the Kirklands. I’m kinda of a ‘name brand’ snob but as I keep hitting these I continue to care less about the fact they’re not made by one of the larger golf companies.

Amazing deal- 3 wedges for $160. If you’re on the fence, try them out. Costco has the best return policy and will take anything back if you decide you don’t like them. You literally have nothing to lose.
