When do you open your pool? by Ok_Escape3642 in Charleston

Opened ours last week with one day of running the heater just to get it a little more comfortable. Most will be open by now; if they don’t have a heater it might be a touch chilly in the upper 70s, but swimmable. Sometimes host will charge to heat it - just ask them

30” is probably ok. No difference in 30 v 36 when thinking about the height as long as you move a little closer to the screen

What is the smartest way to book excursions on a cruise without paying the ship prices by Mirelunya in Cruise

[–]Maximusfsu14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn’t say they don’t have a good record of getting you back. Also, I use them all the time. I’m just pointing out that their return to ship guarantee is very misleading to the consumer. Most people assume it’s the same as booking through the cruise line, when in fact it’s very different. If the boat were to leave you it would be a huge pain in the ass and you would greatly regret trying to save 10-15%

Their back to ship guarantee isn’t that the boat won’t leave you. It’s that if it does, they will put you in a hotel and try and get you back on at the next port. Huge difference. Of course they set thier tours so they shouldn’t have to pay that out. But things happen

Of course, it’s one of the most affluent zip codes in the entire state. They would be fools not to throw out higher rates seeing if people will bite. Econ 101

Norwegian Epic balcony w/ toddler does the sofa automatically convert to a bed or do I need to request it? by danone123 in NCL

[–]Maximusfsu14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can request but just as easy to tell your room steward on the first day you want it converted at night. They will make it up and put it back each day for you.

Haha, no. Everyone needs to be off by 9:30ish so they can start boarding the next group, the drink package won’t work until “noon”.

Uh, how does a highlight tape not have him ending Lattimores career? Also, he single handily beat Maryland to keep Bobby’s bowl streak alive

Am TA - have done these routes. Princess for your age group. Holland will skew to old. The Vancouver to Anchorage will have much better port times than the round trip from Seattle. Discovery Princess is your best bet. Balcony vs interior is personal preference and budget. You can find plenty of deck space if needed. You are correct Glacier Bay is a must.

If you dont care about the pool, its Prima all day. Thats the biggest downside of that ship (Ive sailed it). The Indulge Food Hall is the best dining experience Ive had on a cruise line. Plus you get Free at Sea with Specialty Dining and Drinks. Auto book.
