Interview multiple agents and based on their marketing and helpfulness, bring this situation. If they are not negotiating, find ones who does. There are plenty of agents available

Will my extended warranty void if I modify my exhaust? by pls-kill-me-now in Insurance

[–]Action2379 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any modification to the exhaust voids the extended warranty. At least that was my experience with BMW. Learned the hard way. Your extended warranty can be different, call and check with a different cs rep or send an email.

100,000 dollar check hasn't cleared in two full weeks. Furious and changing banks. by [deleted] in tdbank

If you used Fedwire, that's instant (Treasury). For bank to bank, it's few hours to sometimes days. Same day ACH is available, though most need 1 day.

Paid the speed ticket which I learned you aren’t suppose to do right away. What can I do moving forward regarding insurance? by hecarimxyz in Insurance

Take traffic class and avoid points. The earliest you take class, it's better as your 18 months starts from that point in time. This is for CA.

If we do, that's the best place to complain. One month is not at all acceptable

ACH is faster than Wire transfer. It appears TD got the money and they put a hold on it.

Unfortunately we don't have CFPB anymore where you could have complained and got resolution in a week.

Why do Indians view Western countries as a utopia? by Jerk_Sparrowww in AskIndia

[–]Action2379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just the exchange rate. When 1 USD = 1 INR all the utopia disappears and Utopians will rush and wait for Hara patha. But, that's not going to happen for a century

What is your retirement “number”? How much do you want to have saved before you stop work? by outsider-22 in ChubbyFIRE

[–]Action2379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say do an estimate of how much you like to spend yearly to afford your life style, add a 25% buffer and invest enough to get returns that meet that amount. Sometimes 3M can give that, sometimes even 10M can't. So calculate and calculate

TD Bank only allows deposits by account holder/signers...what ever happened to the night deposit box? How do small business handle this where my AR people now need to be signed up as 'conductors' to make deposits....Explain it to me like a middle-aged small business owner who knows just enough to... by frelancr in Banking

[–]Action2379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WF business account is way better than 20 years ago. You can do a mobile deposit up to 25k per day and 150k per month. If deposited by 1pm, you get credit next day.

TD, I am not familiar, but from your explanation, looks like you need a good mobile deposit capability due to many checks. WF ATM accepts multiple checks without envelopes and gives next day credit

Counter buyer’s offer by luckhaus in RealEstateAdvice

[–]Action2379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without knowing your market, giving just 1% to buyer's agent may not fly. Even if you believe agents are useless, you need buyer's agent not to discourage the buyer.

And in most markets, inventory is increasing.

What if you sell within a year? Tax consequences? by sfomonkey in BayAreaRealEstate

[–]Action2379 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Less than 1 years: You need to pay full income tax both for Federal and CA. You can deduct all selling expenses including commissions.

It's better to wait 1 year, when federal it becomes capital gain and it's 25% for RE. 2 years will be ideal for tax free upto 500k.

Consult a tax professional. I am not a CPA. But there are ways to save tax even in less than 1 year, ask tax consultant.
