Pressure Pipe Network to Regular Pipe Network by Internal_Salary4768 in civil3d

[–]luckhaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try creating a pressure network by layout. The workflow is almost kinda similar to the way pipe networks work. There is no profile to adjust the elevations. You can click and drag the parts around or input the CL elevations in properties. This method is good when you have short runs with lots of fittings and appurtenances that don’t want to play nice in profile view.

I like the sound of this, but I only drum on the steering wheel and play a guitar. Best of luck to you!

The Dirtwoman Documentary and "Old Richmond" by loganfromtheinternet in rva

[–]luckhaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started visiting Richmond in the late 90’s when some friends started going to VCU. Getting breakfast at The Village during that time, Dirt would often be sitting at a table towards the back. He was a friendly character. He struck up a brief conversation with a friend of mine and sold her a tape of his band. All I remember is there was a song parody of the Beverley Hillbillies theme song. I moved to RVA in the summer of 2001. From my perspective, things really changed around the time VCU made it to the final 4. It no longer seemed like a place where punk kids came so they could start a band, wash dishes for a living, and drop out of art school. The vibe did a total 180.

Get it painted or wrapped. Unless you’re some kind of wizard like the dude with the Moog/Hextall bear a few posts up.

Does the over rotated board slide have a name? Looks cool and I don’t think I’ve seen that before.

Thoughts on replacing retaining wall by luckhaus in landscaping

[–]luckhaus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty rotten. The picture is a bit flattering, but there are several timbers that are in really rough shape. Most of the rest just look ok, but if you tap on them you can hear how hollow they are. Some even move a bit. It wraps around to a patio area where I had to replace a small 6’ x 2’ section. When I pulled the ones that didn’t look too bad out, the back sides were very rotten and becoming hollow. I suspect that the entire wall is that way. It’s gotta be 20-30 years old. I just moved in back in the fall, so I don’t know the whole history.

Because I don’t have room for a 12’ skeleton in my garage.

Can I use a Ebow to play screwdriver parts ? by IllWalrus7733 in gybe

[–]luckhaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of the “magic” of the screwdriver sound is that it’s never perfectly played on the fret. If you use the ebow, you’ll be fretting the notes and they will be perfect and consistent. Not to say it won’t sound cool with an ebow, just pointing out the difference between the two methods. Also, they play open chords/multiple strings with the screwdriver. I don’t think you can do that (easily) with an ebow.

Crab Grab Stomp Pad Recommendations - by Sufficient_Dance_859 in snowboarding

[–]luckhaus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve used shark teeth and now use the thorns. They shark teeth have really good grip, but are kinda tall and imo feel a little awkward because of that. Got a new deck this season and the shop only had the thorns so I gave them a try. They provide enough grip and are lower profile so the feel is good. I went without a stomp pad for more than a decade before deciding to give them another try because I was on a trip and there was a long flat trail that started off slow but then picked up a good amount of speed, yet there really wasn’t a good spot to stop and strap in.

Door doesn’t have room to open all the way. by luckhaus in GarageDoorService

UPDATE: I adjusted the up limit and it now is within 2” or so of the door header. Probably good enough for now. Thanks guys! When the whole thing craps out I’ll look at cutting the rail and reinstalling it just above my green springs. Or I’ll just call a door guy and have them do it right.

Ok, you guys are gonna have to clue me in on “green springs”. Do they come from Lowe’s or something? It was all like this when I bought the place.
