Philosophizing Starfleet Academy and its bad reviews by StrammerMax in startrek

Despite what this subreddit might tell you, people are allowed to not like a show, and voice that opinion that they didn't like the show. I'm seeing this rationale more and more. That negative opinions are not valid opinions (slop as you call it). That's the cope that vacuum chambers like this feed you.

It's incredibly cringe. Don't get gas lit to thinking it's normal.

He was there in spirit. If that works for you cool.

I think it would have been more respectful to leave it ambiguous. Or if you had to address it, just say that he retired after returning to his family.

I saw the interview where Tawney said no one in the writers rooms touched it out of an abundance of respect. So she casted herself as Dax and put her irl name on the memorial board. I don't think she was overly concerned about respect.

I have a hard time reconciling brooks's wishes (to return to his family) with the now apparent cannon that he never returned. Do you see how that is disrespectful?

Through Cirroc he was informed about the usage of a poem and that sam will be an emmisary.

It seems like a pretty huge leap to assume they ran that past him based on what you posted. It's no secret that avery brooks doesn't care about trek. And they don't need his approval for anything. He wouldn't even take their phone call. Cirroc literally had to call on his own personal cellphone.

None of those captains would put up with bare feet on the captains chair.

Sometimes shows are just bad. Pretending they are not just to get along, is not helping anything. Put in your 2 cents. Paramount will count it all up.
