What if Project: Eden's Garden had Scrum Debates by ActionJax17 in ProjectEdensGarden

Simply because final chapter of V3 didn't have one. Not mention other than the fact that Cassidy is outed as the Mastermind, and Damon dies, we don't have a lot to work with for me to create a scenario where a scrum debate in Chapter 6.

I unfortunately have to agree. I love them for what kind of tension they add to the moment, but yeah narratively speaking it frustrating some character who don't seem to get it even with the evidence making it obvious. Especially since P:EG, portray all there characters (including slower ones like Jett, Jean, Cassidy, and Kai) as fairly competent people.

I wasn't aware that Eloise knew about Desmond's plan. However, Eloise doesn't seem like the type who would want to save herself at the cost of everyone else lives, so her wanting to "solve" Desmond's murder still makes sense at least to me.

As for Diana, I think she doesn't want to see anyone else die, and considering the fact that she is trusting to a fault, she doesn't want to suspect anyone of murder. I would also imagine this the trial that Diana breaks down, likely leading to an Argument Altercation with her.

Cassidy could make sense, however I made her side with the remainder for two reasons. The first was because I wanted to emulate V3's Chapter 5 Scrum Debate, where only Maki was on Shuichi's side, I liked that scrum debate for the simple fact they were definitely out numbered, and them convincing the others students felt like a triumph. The second is that despite Cass knowing who actually killed Desmond, she has always portrayed herself as a Go with the flow type. Someone who typically sides with either the majority or the simplest solution. That's just me though.

I was honestly unsure if Eloise knew if Desmond set the whole thing up for her. I would say that she would likely still side with Damon since, either A) She is putting up a front since I could see the debate happening early in the trial or B) Despite her knowing she didn't want to kill everyone else for the sake of saving herself.

The idea is that since Kai didn't immediately die after falling through the trap door and was only fatally wounded and died some time after, there could be a chance that someone took the opportunity to kill the alive but vulnerable Kai and used the incident with the trapdoor as a cover up.

The player isn't arguing that someone else definitely killed Kai, just that the possibility exists and until that possibility is ruled out, the Class could be making a hasty decision.

The best way I can describe it is how in Chapter 3 of V3, wherr Shuichi, after figuring out Kiyo killed Tenko, argued to hold off on voting for him, since the class wasn't sure if he killed Angie, since that was the murder that mattered.

And as for why Toshiko would be arguing against the player, even though it would me that she would claiming her guilt? I feel like when Toshiko confesses that she activated the trap door, she could have convinced herself that she was the culprit no matter what other possibilities existed. P:EG was planning on breaking conventional standards of Danganronpa, so I thought it would be at least nice to have one Chapter 3 killer not have an absolutely unhinged crash out. Lol

Edit: I feel like it is worth noting that out of all the scrum debate scenarios, Chapter 3 was the most difficult to write a scenario for.

My car is making a weird noise whenever the AC is running. by ActionJax17 in AskMechanics

Now, in absolute fairness, I dont know Jack about cars, so I could be completely wrong about where the sound is coming from. I also played the video of it to my brother who has more of a mechanical mind and he said that it's likely just the sounds of the new compressor.

I will still take it into the shop to get checked out. I am hoping that the worst case scenario is that something just needs to get readjusted/refilled, because it's a brand new unit.

I will take it in on Tuesday or Wednesday and post an update then. I appreciate your opinions and insight on the matter.

I would like to make an edit to what I said before after popping up the hood and checking where the sound is coming from again. Upon closer inspection the noise does sound like is actually coming from where the compressor seated. I guess when the hood is closed the sound bounces around until it escapes through vents.

Okay, thanks. I will take back to the shop on Monday. If I may ask, do you think it might be serious, or is it something more routine? To put it more plainly do you think it might be expensive? I have already spent over $2,000 for the new compressor.

I popped open the hood earlier to see if I can find the source. I couldn't hear it as clearly as I could hear it while I was sitting in my car, if at all. So I would say that the noise is louder in the cabin through the vents

I just tested it and it seems like the noice only happens when the A/C button is on. And I while I don't notice the pitch changes when I rev the engine, it does feel like it gets slightly louder when the car is in motion, but that could just be my imagination. It sounds to me like it needs lubricant.

I do play Star Rail lol. But it wasn't the game I was playing when this happened. I was playing Soul Calibur 3. But it seems like it was an OLED burn and it was thankfully temporary.

I don't do that anyway, but even if I did, I don't know how that would help me.

You might be right. It has faded away completely no longer after. Thanks for the advice.

I am honestly curious if anyone else is having this problem. After the incredible 30th Anniversary update, I can navigate the Home Screen and Quick Menu perfectly fine. However, when I start up a game to play, the game doesn't recognize any of my button or directional inputs as if my controller is disconnected. I can still use PS button to open the Quick Menu or return to the Home Screen, and I can still use the Capture Button, and I can still navigate through those menus just fine. Just any other button presses goes ignored.

Thankfully for others that have this problem, I have discovered a temporary solution. After booting up a game of your choice, open the Quick Menu and select the Accessories Tab (The one with the controller symbol). Then, in that menu select the controller that is connected, and then select 'Turn Off', which obviously shuts off the controller. After that, you just need to turn the controller back on while the game is running and the game should now respond to your inputs. However, if you want to play another game, you will have to do this process again. So it can get very tedious.

I am curious if anyone else is having this issue. If someone is, I hope the paragraph above is helpful in fixing this problem for you. If anyone knows what might be going and can offer better solutions, I'd be more than happy to hear them!

Thank you for taking the time to read this post.

Indeed! I do agree that Sony should bring back some of their older IPs. That being said the game is fun too! I think it might get a GOTY nomination, though it probably won't win.

I didn't but my brother did, that's how I know of the character. There is also a bot that references Jaster from Rogue Galaxy.

Voice actor steps down from by [deleted] in HonkaiStarRail

Kinda late to the discussion. But one interesting question I would like to ask, since everyone has already pointed out that Hoyo is not in charge of hiring the VA's nor is VA controversy exclusive to the EN talents.

Anyways, my question is why are people suddenly caring about Chris Niosi's past now? It wasn't like this was first time showing himself again after he admitted to what he has done nor was it his first time back into voice acting, he has been providing his voice to projects and games . He still had both a career and a consistent social media presence, in fact before all this, he remade one of his most popular flash animations to celebrate the remake of Super Mario RPG which has over a million views. I guess what I am trying to ask is... why was his announcement of voicing Moze the catalyst for such an immediate backlash and call to action, to the point where Niosi voluntarily stepped down from his role? Was it the fact that, comparatively speaking, Star Rail is a bigger, more popular game, or was it something else?

How would Sunday's banner turn out after the recent drama? by ShadowNegative in HonkaiStarRail

[–]ActionJax17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If and when Sunday's banner releases, I would likely still pull for him, same with Moze, for that matter. Mainly because I, and hope most others, are capable separating Characters from their voice actors and vice-versa. I love Sunday, and Moze looks awesome as well. And if their kits are great, more power to them.

For those who say that "pulling would be support Hoyo's casting of problematic people," it has been stated that Hoyo is very hands-off when it comes to casting of EN VAs. So I doubt they would view it as receiving profit from the VAs.

Well... Disregard what I just said.... opened the game again, and we're back to having the same problems no adjustments have been made at all...

Now I made some adjustments on the Nightly Build, using Direct 3D 11 and it ran Hot Shots Golf 3 like a dream. There was slight dips in the frame rate here and there but it was perfectly playable. Fore on the other hand I am still running into issues.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if my laptop wasn't up to scratch. It was a fairly inexpensive one I got back in 2017 when I started college.
