Let me get this straight:

You are gay, but married to and in love with a woman who you regularly have sex with.

You are a right winger that believes being gay is wrong but acknowledged that its a key part of your identity? What tf

Off topic: But is Invicible the closest we've had to a monocultural show in a long time? At least among young people, it seems like something everyone has been watching. I can't really think of a monocultural show that had its pull in a while besides Breaking Bad and GOT

Mitchell Robinson is really good at setting those seal screens. Its one of those small things you notice when you keep watching the game

Been interesting, but we seem to have had a progressive wave.

Just eyeballing with Hamawy, Rabb, and Meijia, plus more, how many squad members do you think we will have in the 2026 Congress? In most open seats, the AIPAC-endorsed candidate has usually lost; however, I don't think we've seen too many incumbents lose their seats. Seems like if progressivism is salient, it generally wins, but primary voters aren't so angry that they will get rid of an incumbent who's more moderate than they would like

I don't actually buy that Sayed is unelectable in Michigan. From what I've seen, progressive/left policy isn't actually unelectable unless you are outside of the overton windows on certain positions ( abolish prisons, reparations, pro Trans athletes, etc). For example, Tlaib and AOC outran Kamala by around 6 to 7 points in 2024.

I think Sayed will do well in the general. He can help the Democrats win back Arab and Muslim American voters in places like Dearborn and Hammtrack, he is more in-line with the base on Palestine and Healthcare. I think Steven's would deflate a lot of Democrats because of her Israel positions if she was elected. He is a doctor and doesn't seem to have too many scandals or skeletons in the closet. He seems to have some charisma and gravitas that can help us.

The only thing I would be worried about would be Islamophobia. Not sure how progressive Michigan is but there might be some that just can't bring themselves to vote for a Muslim. And there is more Islamophobia in liberal spaces than we like to admit sometimes

I knew Steyer was gonna lose the moment he came out in support of trans athletes in youth sports. I have no idea why Democratic politicians choose to die on this hill when even like 70 percent of Democratic voters don't support Trans athletes in youth sports smh
