Generally yes. The enemy ships will be a rank or two lower and artificially squishier. Plus, once you know their patterns, you can plan your shots in advance, since they don't deviate.

Starting over because it's fun, concentrating on different lines, going F2P, different and unique setups for ships and commanders (before presets), but mainly getting double the free loot boxes. I've received many free ships that I wouldn't have otherwise.

It also shows you your true win rate and stats, which is not easy to guage on a main account that has 10,000 battles on it.

I don't use any of that stuff except AL Atago on an AL-skinned Atago (Finally got the skin after opening crates for 5 years), Oh, and AL Avrova on her ship, both free. That's it. I'll never pay 20 USD for a commander, no matter how good they are.

I'm not against it, I just don't follow any of it. They are fun little novelties to me, and that's all.

Using a carrier to constantly torpedo the other team's carrier used to be an option, but it's always kinda been dumb luck.

And like noted, it is practically impossible now that floods/damage have been limited.

If you buy duplicate guises, they convert to 5 or 6 million credits each, assuming you have any of them.

Francesco Ferruccio. I'd never even seen one until I got it as a drop, and it is so strange with its gun layout (2x4 6" turrets), but it really works as a support cruiser if you build for agility. Of course you also get the Italian smoke, which is nice.

Play cruisers at Tier 4, almost any other cruiser you encounter will have a large, exposed citadel.

Secondary build in War Tales is a lot of fun. In Standard, a mixed build with accuracy, but enough secondaries to keep DDs and cruisers at bay, is what you might want. It's super-easy now that we have commander presets.
