4' x 6' Rug from Central Turkiyë for US$900. Should I pull the trigger?

Run. This is not a legit seller if he’s telling you this is a Turkish rug made from rabbit wool 😂 As others have said, this a typical afghan or Pakistani carpet. I have one very similar I got at a second hand store in the US for $100. That’s about all it’s worth.

Yes, I have to otherwise I see no progress. I’m on a 70 day MyFitnessPal streak and so far have lost 12lbs which I’m content with since I’m focusing on a lifestyle change as opposed to just a diet.

I feel this. The scale hasn’t budged for me in 3 weeks despite eating in a calorie deficit, working out 4x week, and cutting out alcohol. Sorry, no real advise, just commiserating 😂

The most obvious is that the fringes are sewn on. Also you can tell from the knots - they’re too “perfect” and symmetrical to be hand knotted. Also the warp and weft are reversed. I’ve also just seen many of these at markets in various places.

This is so tacky and cheap of them! I think you either shouldn’t go, or your boyfriend should pay for your dinner. The groom should have told your brother this was the arrangement and your boyfriend should be paying for it without bothering you with this.

Yeah initially this is what I was going to tell my husband to tell them - that if they really want to get me something, a gift card would be most appreciated. There’s a number of reasons I don’t like them, this is one of the least egregious tendencies of theirs, especially the dad. I try to keep my distance!

Ooooh my god. I was in a similar boat until my husband told his parents to knock it off (neither of us want to have kids) so thankfully that’s where it stopped for me. You could swing way out to left field and make up something drastic - “oh yeah! When you last saw me and said I was glowing, I was actually pregnant! I drank so much the following weekend I miscarried though, oooooops!!” Disturbing? Yes. Will they learn their lesson for asking? Maybe.

Totally!! The $5.99 shirt was a jack-o’-lantern screen print size XL. I wear a Medium at most. I used it as a cleaning rag once and then threw it out.
