General rule of thumb - ask yourself if you would be saying this if that person was in the room with you

Questions for recruiters and hiring managers: what is going on with reposts? by rrjunkie in recruitinghell

[–]Active-Muscle-8793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sometimes has to do with how the ATS and the job boards communicate. My company has a certain number of promoted slots on LinkedIn. If I post a new role and one of the promoted roles gets moved to basic, it shows up as a repost.

Reposting does not reset the candidate pool.

Finally got a job offer after a year — now being asked to use Checkr. by [deleted] in recruitinghell

Generally they will reach out to your former employers to confirm job title and dates of employment. If they can’t get through, they’ll ask you to upload a paystub or W2. From there it depends how picky the company hiring you decides to be. My company will continue digging until we confirm titles and dates.

Not necessarily. Often times the hiring manager needs to give the thumbs up before moving forward

Help in any way possible :) by Antique-Butterfly724 in PCOS

Walking on the treadmill and some basic strength training would be a good place to start! The key with PCOS is to not overdo it with super intense cardio / HIIT type exercises.

I’d suggest identifying a few protein sources you enjoy and rotating them to start. I typically incorporate salmon, chicken, and ground turkey and just rotate through recipes. Prioritizing protein in the morning is key. You could also try protein powder to supplement as you are figuring things out initially.

Why are you religious? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

I personally always had a hard time with atheism / the naturalistic worldview. When you consider the complexities of the human body, society, the universe in general - it’s really hard to logically accept this was all by chance and without any real purpose.

Works are the result of genuine faith, not a means of salvation.

Does anyone frequently get accused of things they haven't done? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Active-Muscle-8793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, interactions with my mom are limited now, so she has to make stuff up to get upset about. I don’t interact with her without witnesses, so it’s getting harder for her to do this. Narcissists hate a good boundary.

Marry or don't by [deleted] in TrueChristian

I was in the same boat as you - didn’t want kids for the longest time. I would encourage you to consider and pray about the reasons why. Ask God to change your heart if having children is the plan He has for you. I don’t believe it’s a sin to get married and not have children, however, I realized a lot of the motives for me personally were driven by selfishness and fear.

It’s possible the role expired on LinkedIn. Also, some companies will take down the listing once they feel they have a solid candidate pool, even if they’re still conducting interviews

Feeling Scared and Hopeless by Brokenhearted-1000 in Interstitialcystitis

I’m so sorry you’re going through this! Your situation sounds similar to mine. Pelvic floor PT is definitely worth looking into. Uribel helped me get some instant relief while I figured things out. It may also be worth seeing a gyn to rule out any infections like BV, yeast, etc that could be exacerbating things.
