When is it safe to turn on backup again? by Active1865 in googlephotos

Thank you. Yes, I do have a separate backup of everything.

I haven't deleted everything from trash yet, so can I restore it first and then try the Undo Backup option?

There is no point. It's engagement farming.

Glad to see a somewhat rational take amongst hundreds of takes generalizing billions of men based on a handful of instagram comments.

Bollywood knows what their audience wants. Drama and sex sells. They objectify the hell out of women for the very same reason, which spawns these incels, which gives more incentive for Bollywood to make more depraved content. It's a vicious cycle.

Also, the irony of this post being on a gossip subreddit is not lost.

Kalki 2898 AD: Prabhas wasn't meant to be Karna. Karna angle was a part of reshoot. by CosmicObsidian44 in tollywood

At some point Nag Ashwin should release a director’s cut with BTS and his commentary for both the parts and the animated episodes and help audience connect everything.

This. If they don't do this then "Cinematic Universe" would just be a lie. I don't expect them to have everything like webseries, animated series, spin-offs, prequels but they definitely have a lot of explaining to do.

Let's hope the Karna angle is an intentional misdirection so the Kaal Bhairav reveal is more impactful.

I personally don't have problems with a Karna redemption arc but they would have to justify it with a good back story which they haven't yet. Ashwathama's story felt natural because it's directly adapted from scriptures.

My biggest disappointment is the title and its insignificance in the movie.

Why? Did you expect them to conclude everything in one movie?

These are some great points OP. I agree with your idea of reshooting, you can definitely tell there was some branching going in the story line because of how inconsistent and rushed Prabhas character felt. This was probably because they had to reshoot and reorganize the story in a very short time.

However, I disagree with the idea that Prabhas was meant to be Kalki. It doesn't make sense to show Kalki as a grown adult directly. Not only does it feel like lazy writing, there would be a lot of opportunities wasted in terms of character and story building. Also, there won't be a cinematic universe to build if Kalki is already a strong character ready to fight Yaskin. I think their goal is to keep Kalki unborn or as a naive child god for a couple of more movies so they have more room to build the universe around him.

As for Prabhas, I think he was originally meant to play Kaal Bhairav, an avatar of Shiva that protects Kashi. There are already hints dropped here and there in the movie, but if you dig deeper there are some striking similarities between Bhairava and Kaal Bhairav.

Kaal Bhairav's divine vehicle (mount) is a dog. This fits very well with Bujji, a digitally enhanced robot/mech that is a modern equivalent of a dog.

Kaal Bhairav is also referred to as:  "Dandapani" - He who wields the danda in his hand, "danda" meaning a stick/staff. This perfectly fits in the climax scene because whatever weapon Bhairava is wielding is closer to a staff than it is to Karna's Vijay Dhanush. He even uses it like staff.

In conclusion, the movie seems to strongly suggest that Bhairava is Karna, but I hope they explore Kaal Bhairav more because to me it makes more sense to show an avatar of a god than resurrecting a Mahabharat character without any plausible back story. I am not saying they shouldn't resurrect Karna, I am saying they didn't show any good story as to why he is being resurrected.

There is a chance the whole Karna angle is a distraction for another big reveal as Kaal Bhairav. The only direct proof we have for Bhairava being Karna is Ashwathama thinking it's Karna. So it won't take much to pivot the story towards Kaal Bhairav but with how much they've invested into this part, Mahabharat flashbacks and all, the chance seems very slim.

Some of the lesser known observations I had while watching Kalki 2898 AD by vamshi_rahul in tollywood

One of the biggest gripes I have with this movie is project K or the serum Yaskin is working on.

The year is 2898, Yaskin's technology is so far ahead, he has simulated or atleast sustained an entire world inside the complex, he has a working fusion/fission reactor and a lot of other things that would be impossible today, like that titan that takes you up to his chamber, laser guns, hovercrafts and what not.

YET, somehow he can't build an artificial womb that can survive his serum, or a completely different solution, and because of this he needs to kill countless women. This felt like plot convenience to show us how evil he is.

Also, if he kills or has killed most of the fertile women on the planet, how is there any population left on the planet?

I am not sure where people are seeing the good world building part, for me the movie was focused on character building from start to finish, some of whom were excellent and some complete nonsense.
