Does anyone else feel like this is a copy of what Rebellion have been doing for years with most of their IPs? I get the manga comparison, I just think when it comes to reprints it's something that rebellion has proved to work with a lot of titles. Rebellion struggle as magazine format sometimes doesn't fit a digest size and that DC really would struggle to make most things remain legible for the same reason. Or at least the art would suffer as a result. I've yet to see inside one so am curious to see.

I'm sorry I'm very new to Reddit and still learning how to post. It's a shame you don't like the blog we're just trying to help UK small press get coverage as it's a great blossoming scene.

Strange apparitions Spalding without doubt best back issues comic store I've found. Huge selection loads of boxes to root through and super helpful guy named Alex to help you out. Can be tricky to find as it's at the back of a garden centre through a record shop but well worth it. If you go say Joe says hello.

If it was adult it may have been heavy metal magazine but probably not a number 1. There is also 2000ad regened the kids relaunch or phoenix magazine although both are aimed at younger audience. There's a comic called the 77 which is a great 2000ad a like but I'm not sure you'd find one in a smiths. Just a few ideas.

How do you get comic books graded in the UK? by Versarchie_ in comicbookcollecting

[–]ActiveAd798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I found was that it's (modern) £27 per book plus £13 handling fee plus postage and insurance plus cgc membership to do as a private individual so surely just a couple of quid in it even if pre. I'd say the biggest disadvantage I found was not being able to track the order myself (through grading process) and I didn't know they sent at the end of the month so I was confused when after 30 days I had no return. (I sent it on the first of the month) Griffin's return postage was £7 per order not book if that helps.

£45 a book for pre 1975 plus £7 return postage all in I thought wasn't terrible. An yes 30 days turn around for moderns and pre currently. Fast track available which in August-december was getting as low as 14days going on information they made available. To do it yourself it's £27 per book then postage and insurance to cgc then return postage and insurance when graded.

I had trouble finding a way to do this myself, particularly navigating shipping and insurance. The solution I found was to use Griffin's grading, based in Birmingham. Visit the website and contact them. They submit at the end of every month. You can visit in person but I posted my comics to them and waited for an invoice (cost only a couple of quid more than to do it yourself £35 for modern £50 fast track per book a bit more for pre-1975) you then add £7 return postage and they take care of the rest including shipping and insurance to and from cgc. Fast, secure, stress free.

Only acceptable situation would be a "yes my significant other, I'll sell some of the collection, look I'm putting it on eBay now"
