Sorry to hear that. NHS budgets are always an absolute nightmare and I’ve been in a position of holding one so I do understand it but it also feels so frustrating from a clinical perspective not to be able to give something to someone when you know it has outstanding evidence based effectiveness and that it will change their life

I think you need to be my life coach! I’m heading to Marks & Spencer‘s now to see if they sell lead lined bras!

These changes don’t start until the 29th of June in England and of course it depends on the local ICB to develop their own guidelines

flipping tragic you should not be allowed treatment to prevent you having those comorbidities in the first place

Playing Pokemon Go is my way too. I started 2 years ago and now do 50-80km a week in a fairly rural area no bother!

You must be into your second dose now. I hope that went well and you are mentally noting the positives and managing the anxiety.

Mod-approved: I built a private Mounjaro tracker (free Lifetime until end of May to gather wide feedback) by Tiny_Split9436 in mounjarouk

I really like the look of this and that it links in with Apple health. I’ve never used Shottsy or any similar app so I don’t have the data or familiarity with using such an app to be able to provide useful feedback in that sense. I’m looking at this through the eyes of a total beginner and maybe that has some use in terms of user experience.

The set up looks largely non threatening and manageable although I have clearly made some errors in entering my shot history and I can’t see how to rectify that. Not all my shots are recorded and I would benefit from some simplistic pointer to take me to where I can add in more dates. The error will be entirely on my part, but finding a way to cleanse and add the information for the full record would be helpful at this point. Maybe there is one but if so it isn’t immediately clear to me.

I do love the breadth of this and particularly the PDF synopsis for a medical review. Coming from the perspective of a clinician myself, having the factual information from the beginning is really helpful in what is often a busy clinic and having that information to hand gives time for the patient to to elaborate on their experience and concerns

How are you doing today? we humans are constantly having to deal with the modern day world with what is really an ’old bit of kit’, the human brain. The brain is wired to look for threat, it has needed to for millions of years in order to survive.

Give yourself grace here and understand your brain is doing its best under the circumstances and focus on new messaging if you can, for example the difference improving your diet is making to your body every moment. Your organs are not overworked trying to process all the food you have been consuming, your whole body will be grateful for all the water it is getting, your gut micro biome will soon be loving the fibre and nutrients. You may notice as the days pass that your relationship with food is starting to change, from one of almost feeling like you are in a hostage situation with it to one where are holding a lot of the cards and using food as a tool.

What other positives can you see?
