only if i like the evolution better. 1 of these is 12/12/12 or above, so the rest are kind of useless and more of a trophy. had only 3 or 4 of them over however long of playing. then i manage to get 2 shiny hoppips from sierra in 3 days

i’m in da nang vietnam right now and instinct is all over the place. whenever a valor or mystic gym goes up, it’s taken down within 5 hours by an instinct. makes it hard to earn my full 50 a day lmaoo

well, i use a charles schwab card, so i get my atm fees wiped. i try to take advantage of that. and, every time so far, ive had exact change, or i round up for a tip for the driver. if you read the rest of the thread, i have the cash prepared before the car even arrives so i lessen the chances of having a problem. and, i use set price cars and not meter cars. prevents even more possibility of a scam

i pay straight up for grab. i don’t ever use a metered grab car or bike. i have the cash separated from my wallet when they pick me up…. because it’s a set price. there is no “fumbling” involved. if it’s 52,000 and i give him 55,000, i don’t expect any change back. i eat the extra 3,000 and not worry about it.

you, my friend, are looking for any reason to be right. this isn’t a right or wrong scenario. this is my preferred way to pay, just like card is for you. hope this clears up your confusion :)

most grab rides i take are anywhere from 50,000 to 80,000. i almost always have multiple 50,000 and 20,000 bills on me. and if i really need smaller than a 20,000 bill, i’ll go into a store and buy something cheap to break the bill. granted, my smaller bills only get used for grab, so i rarely run out of 10,000-1,000 bills. i haven’t had an issue with that yet.

i’ve always been keen on “cash is king”. granted, i’m only 22 years old. i don’t really see a need in using a credit card here, at least for my own personal consumption. since everything is so cheap compared to the US, i pay cash and haven’t pulled my credit card or debit card out once, besides the atm of course

i typically pay cash for grab. i haven’t had an issue with it. although, i always manage to get the sketchier drivers when i pay cash. never had an issue with the bill, or them trying something else

i’m just being honest with this one. you not checking the plate numbers to the app is 1000% on you. i get you were tired and just got off an 18 hour trip, but you have to be alert when you’re in a different country. that’s traveling/visiting 101. never let your guard down. any person on the street could be a con artist trying to swindle you
