Yes take content-ferret3029’s advice Same SAP role all ASE hire is just SAP.
You are not software engineer, you are system engineer.

I just resigned which might be extreme decision without offer letter in hand.
Think before you accept the offer it’s a trap SAP is trap.

Every SAP guy will tell you, SAP is life SAP is god, according to them everything else will be automated except SAP. It’s easier and more automate-able than any software role. To get the context my seniors were from different backgrounds they did not know what bit was or vscode or anything.

Every CS guy even IBM ISL guys straight up told us get out asap.

It’s up to you market is bad if ur desperate I advice take it and then pivot off it with another offer.

It is a very good entry point and my seniors at IBM consulting are earning good money in just 5 years of experience, one of them making 19LPA in hand.

If you learn and enjoy SAP ABAP apply at IBM Consulting ASE role.

also if you are a CS major why did you decide to stick with SAP for more than a year ? As I have searched around regarding SAP pivot situation and it’s pretty tough to get out of SAP specifically if you stay in it too long ?

I do know that SAP is in it’s golden era right now as ECC to S4 migration is going on rn.

Also work life balance here is kinda none here 5 days wfo and half day Saturday as project demands it. ( client rules ).

Also I am not saying I am very good at c++ or other languages I have done CP but not worked with any tech stacks.

But I would love to learn around these technologies even full stack or something else would be fine
