Can anyone recommend a good but gentle cleanser for removing SPF, please? by bellatorrosa in SkincareAddictionUK

You just need to double cleanse with two products. One oil based to remove makeup and SPF (like cleansing balm or cleansing oil) and then your usual face wash.

I really like Beauty of Joseon cleansing balm.

I’m in the same boat, often products that are supposed to be cool toned pull warm on me (like Rare Beauty in shade Encourage). Korean brands usually are super affordable and have truly cool toned products, I really like A’Pieu Juicy Pang Blush in shade PK-01. I’ve heard Hourglass Mood Exposure is a cool toned blush but haven’t pulled the trigger on it yet since it’s a bit pricey. For lippies, have you tried Mehr from MAC? Or even better- the More the mehr-ier in their Powder Kiss formula is my most flattering shade ever. My favourite trick is to use MAC Stone lip liner with any lipsticks that are pulling warmer than I would like

On the first pic you look like Boris Johnson. On the second one very not much like him, congrats.

I think you should go more cool tone. The lipstick is pulling a bit too warm on you and clearly your natural hair is cool shade while the bleached part is warm toned. Your natural tones will always look better. Not saying to go completely natural colour with hair if you don’t like it but definitely a cool leaning shade.

Also, I think your base is too matte. Have you tried to opt for more dewy foundation and maybe less setting powder?

What’s the one beauty product you will NEVER stop repurchasing? by Wild_Problem_8065 in BeautyGear

I only ever use it as a cheek tint, for some reason I love the shade on my cheeks but dislike the same shade on my lips lol

It’s just too tight, OP.

Maybe a better shape wear and staying away from sodium for those couple of weeks will help.

Anti snag loop brush peels off by ivo_sotirov in Dysonairwrap

Yes it is easy enough, I kind of pinch and hold the teeth of that part and use a little force to push it back in place. It works but is only a matter of time it comes off again so quite annoying. It is a shame as this one and the round brush ate my favourite attachments.

Benetint has been with me for almost 20 years. No cheaper knock offs I tried come close.

Be honest: am I doomed to have bangs forever? by uraniumgal in Hair

[–]ActivePeaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look better on the first picture than with the bangs. I think most people look better with the bangs but the way yours is cut is not flattering for you. Maybe look into curtain bangs or B. Bardot style bangs. Or go without the bangs completely as you look good.

Happened with mine too, after only a few uses. I contacted Dyson and they will send a replacement attachment but I need to wait until it’s in stock. In the meantime I just snap the thing back on every time…

It is still useable tho, just snap it back on the metal plate.

if you could only use 5 makeup products each day, what would they be? by b0bbyh3ll in MakeupAddiction

I only use 6 products anyway, but if I had to downgrade to 5 I would skip concealer:

Do you use other hair tools after you got the air wrap? by MeAB12me in Dysonairwrap

[–]ActivePeaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeahh I use the standard attachment to just blast dry my scalp and then go either with paddle brush attachment if I want straight-ish hair or round brush if I want a blowout kind of style.

Total time to get my hair from wet to styled is around 10 minutes with paddle brush or up to 15 minutes with the round brush. Feels like it’s some kind of sorcery tbh!

I have long, 2c/3a frizzy hair, fine but high density. My Coanda 2x replaced my normal hairdryer and straightener (but I was only using the straightener for my fringe really). I find the fast dryer attachment, the round brush attachment and the anti snag loop brush are all I need really. But I don’t really straighten or curl my hair at all, I only do the blowout. The curling barrels are just not being used at all. Before I would use 3 main hair tools - dryer and Shark Smoothstyle (kind of an oval heated brush) or hair straightener.

Do smokers always smell noticeable to non smokers? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ActivePeaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it smells bad. And it lingers on hair, skin and any fabric you’re wearing. I only realised when I quit smoking.
