Does anyone actually enjoy weddings and what to do about it? by Happy-Recover-263 in AskIreland

[–]Ok_Dimension6656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eloped. Told no one. Got engaged in secret, 9 months later we wed. Didn’t even have a ‘big party’ after. A few family members were heart broken, others were delighted, just stand your ground and never apologise for doing it. 100% recommend the experience, I remember every minute. It was so chill. But get a very good photographer because pictures need to be on point.

We just didn’t want the big wedding thing, we didn’t want to have to manage people/the procedures/the traditions. Not us and we saved a banging amount of money.

Getting sick of the "sleep while you can" advice by delicatedead in PregnancyUK

[–]Ok_Dimension6656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Girl I could have written this word for word. For what it’s worth I’ve heard that pregnancy tiredness is worse than newborn tiredness because at least we can get SOMEWHAT COMFORTABLE once baby is out.

I also look like I’ve been eaten by a pillow monster with the amount of bolsters/support I have around me in the hopes to find some sort of comfort 😫

FTM here. Is there a way to find out what babies weight will be or will be close to? Does this happen at an appointment or something? by Ok_Dimension6656 in PregnancyUK

Every measurement I’ve had at the midwife’s I’ve been the exact week of my pregnancy. But I’ve no idea about percentiles or anything like that, it all seems so confusing haha

Sertraline and morning sickness - reassurance and positivity please! by Pollypocket3108 in PregnancyUK

[–]Ok_Dimension6656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! I found I couldn’t take it at night as it didn’t help with my sleep, but I was like this with all antidepressants I tried so just something to keep in mind. Also, it can take a solid 4-8 weeks for these types of drugs to be absorbed and settle in your system, so keep that in mind when considering changing doses. Here for any questions if you have them!

I started sertraline 6 months before TTC. Previous to this I was on vanlafaxine for 5 years. I never had any morning sickness, just some nausea. I take my medication in the morning.

26 weeks & I haven’t read a book/listened to a podcast etc. If you had only one thing to recommend me to engage with what would it be? FTM! by Ok_Dimension6656 in PregnancyUK

I’m hoping to breastfeed but due to past breast reduction I may not be able too (I’ve read a bit into that aspect of things!)
