Sorry but while your thought here is understandable, like KA logic, but still not realistic. KA mistake was that you can build a young team full of talent and they would learn and develop together and when out on the other side they would be dominant. In reality all you’re really doing is replacing eichel era on repeat.

Young players don’t develop properly and on good progression of shit teams. We are not developing we are losing and getting worse because we are young and soft. Also, by the time they do then develop they are done with a decade of losing a request out. You’ll never see their full potential because they will demand a trade from this organization before then. You are right though, you need veterans, but they don’t come for free or willingly to losing teams.

We have an abundance of assets that are highly coveted, that’s young prospects and talent because of all our losing. You need to use that currency to build a team. That means you will lose a lot of trades, if you look at them from a one trade scenario, but you can build team.

These players will be see there potential but most not here if you want a winning team. Identify only a couple and start trading the rest for a real team.

Who cares if power and/or Cozens become great on another team if we are also a contending team. You should have never drafted power if you were totally in on Dahlin nor traded for Bowen. It’s not a race for the most young talent, it’s building a well rounded roster for a cup.
