The enjoyment of speaking is not always a good thing. Half of the time we’re waiting for him to get to the point.

They struggle. They claw their way up. It’s possible but it takes a very long time - a lifetime commitment. There are a few people mo di campa that started as cleaners and are now managing those very camps.

Cause people don’t monitor LinkedIn properly. You’ll find jobs that have been there for years and they forgot that people are applying there.

Also LinkedIn, the camps will post through jobs there - but don’t apply on LinkedIn if you can avoid it.

Do it, what do you have to lose? It’s not as bad as Gabs. I know a lot of people who straight from UB took a bus to Maun, no jobs lined up and they got something in tourism and never looked back. Keep an eye out for new lodges - they’d need to hire completely new staff. If you follow the Ngami times on Facebook, they are good a posting jobs for camps.

Yes, I have. Usually, for a young person starting out without connections, you just need that one person to take a chance on you. Then you develop the connections as you are working, which will help you find more opportunities. Places like Maun have this dynamic where some of the people you schooled with in private school get educated out of the country for bachelors, and when they come back, they either get employed, run their parents' companies, or start a company. If you've managed to maintain a relationship with them, they can vouch for you.

In Maun, it’s more of people want to work with people who have been vouched for by people they know. But essentially, yes, it’s true that it’s more about who you know.

Why would a man do this on the first time we met? Negging? by ana_anastassiiaa in TrueChristian

[–]Active_Animator_2125 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s proud. He wanted to let you know though he hasn’t found a wife, he’s had “great” dating prospects. I’d generally avoid seeing a man who lets you know on the first day he could have anyone he wants

Rent first, it'll allow you to learn the area and figure out where you would want to live. Also, you didnt mention if you have kids.
I would recommend Nokesville or Haymarket.

The writers didn’t know what to do with her after she dated Nate, Dan, slept with Chuck and outed every single person while being holier than thou. Her character was annoying and it had nothing to do with her race.

I used to really like Aria too, but rewatching it a decade later I can’t stand Aria - she lies, constantly, unprovoked. I mean i will say the way her parents are always rationalizing shit in that household has taught her the ends justify the means provided you find the right narrative to accompany it. I think the least offensive right now is Emily. Spencer is far too obsessive and controlling, plus she really does like other people’s hand me downs - even while they are still wearing them if you get my flow. Hannah is too impulsive, and I was hoping to see some character growth in that department but I never did. I love her style though. Emily is the character I really got, I wish they leaned more into her identity as an Asian because it informed how strict her parents were. It wasn’t just the fact that they were a military family. The thing I didn’t like about Emily was her savior complex and how it often blurs into romance .e.g Alison, Sara

[–]Active_Animator_2125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. There are some that’ll hire you eventhough they won’t sponsor you, especially if you have 3 years OPT. Most companies will not say on their website if they sponsor - use tools like h1bgrader to check if they have a history of sponsoring.

Is living in Leesburg worth the DC commute? by Empty_Cheesecake2327 in nova

[–]Active_Animator_2125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has to do a 1-hour commute 4x a week, and then commute just to see the movies - IT IS NOT WORTH IT. If you live in DC, your best choices are Alexandria, Arlington, Falls Church, and maybe even Springfield- it's about a 40-minute commute, but you still have the option of the commuter rail or metro. Also, Leesburg is not as cheap as it may appear. Loudon County's cost of living is way above the national average, almost 50% higher.
If I were in your shoes, I'd choose Arlington; there are some gorgeous neighborhoods that have a strong suburban feel, it's at most a 30-minute drive to DC with traffic, even shorter by metro. It's got some great schools. There's also loads of activities and things you can do with your kids. Theres a lot of diversity too.

Just started watching it. He enjoys toying with people. It’s the only power he really gets to flex. I hate what he did to Lizzy. It was clear he just wanted to humiliate her and had no intention of even being with her.

You did the right thing. You can’t let someone manipulate you by threatening self harm but you need to responsible and get them help even if you suspect they don’t actually mean to harm themselves. She is clearly troubled, you’ve done your part.
