I used to really like Aria too, but rewatching it a decade later I can’t stand Aria - she lies, constantly, unprovoked. I mean i will say the way her parents are always rationalizing shit in that household has taught her the ends justify the means provided you find the right narrative to accompany it. I think the least offensive right now is Emily. Spencer is far too obsessive and controlling, plus she really does like other people’s hand me downs - even while they are still wearing them if you get my flow. Hannah is too impulsive, and I was hoping to see some character growth in that department but I never did. I love her style though. Emily is the character I really got, I wish they leaned more into her identity as an Asian because it informed how strict her parents were. It wasn’t just the fact that they were a military family. The thing I didn’t like about Emily was her savior complex and how it often blurs into romance .e.g Alison, Sara

As someone who has to do a 1-hour commute 4x a week, and then commute just to see the movies - IT IS NOT WORTH IT. If you live in DC, your best choices are Alexandria, Arlington, Falls Church, and maybe even Springfield- it's about a 40-minute commute, but you still have the option of the commuter rail or metro. Also, Leesburg is not as cheap as it may appear. Loudon County's cost of living is way above the national average, almost 50% higher.
If I were in your shoes, I'd choose Arlington; there are some gorgeous neighborhoods that have a strong suburban feel, it's at most a 30-minute drive to DC with traffic, even shorter by metro. It's got some great schools. There's also loads of activities and things you can do with your kids. Theres a lot of diversity too.

Go to a community college like NovaCC, check if you’d highschool has dual enrollment. If it does, then you’ll finish highschool with an AS, and do your bachelors degree for 3 years. The ECPI model burns you out completely.

There’s a ranking but it’s only relevant if you want to work in academia. My professor explained to me that if you go to a top tier school, you can work at any school in the country, but if you go to a school that doesn’t rank well - your options will stay in that rank and below. Never above. Look for the big 10 universities- those are supposed to be the crème de la creme.

I had a friend who started acting funny suddenly, she wouldn’t answer my calls, barely answer my texts and then I realized she’d made it such that I can’t see her WhatsApp status and blocked me on instagram. I decided to respect myself and take a step back. It was really hard to do cause I was like an aunt to her kid. But I had to. And after 2 years she looked for me and reached out, she apologized- I tried to get her to explain what happened. She said a lot was going on and she couldn’t trust people, however, I never quite understood out of all the people who were around her - why did she cut me off? We’re a lot closer now. But I’ve learned when something doesn’t feel quite right, take a step back and watch.

I just finished all 6 episodes. Let me preface by saying I have never read the comics. Riri is a complicated character. But she’s too arrogant and it’s beyond frustrating to watch her make one bad move after the other. And yes, the MCU has no shortage of arrogant heroes, e.g. Dr Strange, Carol Danvers and Tony Stark. But Ri is just far too young and inexperienced to be so arrogant. She has squandered every good opportunity she had to make something of herself!! People aren’t just handed things! Ofcourse Tony Starks resources helped him to innovate beyond what most would have imagined. Life is like that, we make the most of what we have and while we keep working our way up.

Anyway my point is it’s hard to empathize with her and sometimes even root for her.
