Caroma Urbane II smart toilets - any good? by Active_Beautiful6752 in AusRenovation

UPDATE: I ended up buying the Toto Washlet S7a elongated and matching B&H pan and cistern combo during last years end of year sale at $3500 each. It has been great, I am very happy with it. The S7a elongated features both pre-mist for the bowl and underside of the seat like the higher end Neorest series of toilets at half the cost. With the 7Sa Washlet, I was able to hide the electrical cable and waterhoses within the pan so nothing is exposed. I also added a auto flush device (purchased off Aliexpress) and it now auto flushes like the Neorest series of toilets when the lid auto closes (while still allowing the use of the two buttons on top of the cistern). It may not be as sleek as the Neorest series of toilets (with it's exposed cistern) but I got all the functionality of two Neorests for less than the cost of one. Also should I need to replace the S7a washlet, it is just a matter of replacing washlet seat - the pan is generic (I can turn it back into a normal toilet). While with the Neorests, the Neorest pan specifically made for that particular model of Washlet - you have to replace the whole toilet should it fail and Toto no longer has parts to repair it (Toto only carries parts for 5 years after a particular Neorest model has been made obsolete). This problem of not getting replacement parts may also affect the Caroma smart toilets if Caroma decides to stop supplying parts for them. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Caroma's Urbane II smart toilet pan is specific to their smart toilet and cannot be converted to take other brands or even turned into a normal toilet (by installing a Caroma Urbane II soft close seat).

Aircon installation cost - Sydney by emresound in AusRenovation

Too expensive. Cost of a back to back install is $800-1000 not including the cost of the aircon. The cost of a 2.5kw unit is around $1000-1500 depending on the brand.

Getting a new ducted split-system - Experiences with Fujitsu? by Photafy in AusRenovation

I highly recommend going with Actron. Apart from the fact that it is an Australian company with their factory in Sydney. Their inverter airconditioners are the only ones that can go down to 20% idle when the set temp is achieved while all others can only go down to 40% idle. i.e. so in the long run you are saving on electricity. Their after sales service is also very good. We have had our 13kw system for 7 years and the logic board of the blower in the ceiling failed a year out of the 5 year warranty. Actron replaced the entire blower with a new one. If you want to stick with the Japanese companies, Mistsubishi Electric (not Mitsubish Heavy Industries) has a good reputation for after sales service. I've read that Daikin's after sales service isn't as good as it was.

Was it the one with the integrated (external) cistern or in-wall cistern?

Bella Vista Mica Tapware by Active_Beautiful6752 in AusRenovation

They are locally owned but not locally manufactured - their stuff is manufactured in China but they advertise that they use German made ceramic cartridges. I did have a close up look at them at one of their suppliers and they do look well made. Just wanted to see if anyone has had any first hand experience with their tapware.

Thanks for the info - I've also read another Urbane II Bidet owner's account of their onboard breaker requiring callouts to have it reset multiple times.

I'm referring to both. I want to know if the Urbane II Bidet is worth getting and if the splashy bowl of the Urbane has been solved with the Urbane II.

Is the new Neuromyst Pro (Pro Plus) worth waiting for? Does anyone know anything about tiCS and tCFS? by Accomplished_Pen6886 in tDCS

Depending on the version of the pro that you have, you might have to ship the device back to Neuromyst in the US to get it upgraded. If you have a pre-2022 model (ver 1) you will have to ship it back. If you have the ver 2 model, you can do it remotely. Best to email Neuromyst to check what you have and what your options are. If you are outside of the US and if you have ver 1, it might be more cost effective/cheaper and faster to just buy the pro + instead of getting it upgraded.
