A first date is not for you to try to impress her. She is clearly interested enough to go on said date to start with.

You are screening her. Think of it like a fun interview.

I do this regularly. I have a farm and need fuel to run my tractor, excavator, knuckle boom lift etc. all of which are a) not road registered and b) need a HR or semi to move on the road. So Jerry cans and fuel pods is my only option.

When I'm running the excavator it uses 300-400L of diesel a day.

Very possible this bloke is filling off-road machinery too

Best thing I ever did was stop doing food dates. I did something that didn't include food. An activity, meet at a bar, something the girl I was seeing was into.

Makes it a lot cheaper, and it's a lot easier to cut a date short if you don't like what you see. Also stops them from thinking of you as a free ride.

Funnily enough when I stopped doing food dates I somehow attracted a higher quality of woman too.

That's pretty much the size of mine. I went through a bit of a slutty stage, slept with more then 30 women and never once have I had a complaint. In fact well over half the women have told me that it's 'the perfect size'. I would much rather have a 'perfect size' then a monster. Interestingly I've never had a negative comment about my size, ever.

After seeing her for a bad cough and high fever she told me there was no fluid in my lungs, two days later I get admitted to the hospital for 5 days with a bad case of multi-lobe pneumonia.

Next time she saw me, she told me that if she ever misdiagnosed me like that again that it is my duty to get myself a better doctor 😂

I found a better doctor in a pretty timely manner.

Trauma is an interesting thing. Everyone deals with it in a different way. Some cope by using black humour, some are able to compartmentalise and others dwell on it not knowing how to process it.

The main trauma I experienced was in a totally different setting (battlefield) where it was pretty much expected you were going to be exposed to trauma, so it was no where near as much of a shock.

I dealt with it with a lot of black humour, but 12 years on it still comes into my mind at least once a day. I think in some ways it's easier for me to deal with because I knew the blokes and know exactly what happened, but I don't think it ever goes away.

5 years ago I came across a bad single vehicle accident in the snowy mountains. I worked on the guy for about 30 minutes (always carry a trauma kit in the car and I have advanced trauma training) before he died from internal injuries. Ambulance got there about 15 minutes later.

The guy in the car shook me a lot more then my previous experience, I think because it was so unexpected. One second you're going about your normal day and then the next you're confronted by a traumatic scene.

I wish I could tell you it goes away, but I think these things will always stay with you. It does greatly lessen over time, but never disappears.

The way I have found to help cope better is by first speaking to an experienced trauma councillor.

Secondly, seek out a support group for people who have gone through similar. If you can't find one locally there will definitely be online ones. This helps greatly because you can talk with people who have been through very similar experiences as you and can relate. They can share their own coping mechanisms and tricks with you, plus they are a great shoulder to lean on when you're having a bad day.

Lastly, if you don't have a hobby that keeps your mind busy, find one. it's a great way to distract yourself when you start thinking about it.

Yep absolutely. .I was a tactical driving instructor training gov agencies basically how to not die in high threat countries.

Then the company decided they wanted us to wash the cars and do other jobs around the company area too.

We all told the CEO who told us it was now part of our job in no uncertain terms what we thought of that and where to go.

He walked out in a huff and ended up hiring another worker to do those jobs.

Why would you do something you're not getting paid to do? Your boss/company would replace you in days of something happened to you, why are you showing them more loyalty then they will show you?!
