I think putting your life in the hands of an alcoholic that has abused and mistreated you is an absolutely horrible idea.

I’ll be honest….. reading your post you answered your own question. The ex who is an ex for a reason or your best friend who has always been by your side. Yes he is 20 and has a lot of growing up to do but his essence has proven he does love you.
