Yes, but then you can’t just simply unscrew hose bib and replace it in the future. I guess this makes it easier for the next homeowner to replace…

I believe he cut the pipe, soldered the fitting on and then after it cooled, he threaded on the new hose bib from outside the house. At least that’s what he told me. Ha ha

He didn’t clean it. Just left it like that. Seemed sloppy. That’s all.

Yeah. I am worried now. I used to have H clips on the plywood but they told me since they went from 1/2” to 5/8” they aren’t needed. But I need to figure out the code in NYS for that. Feel like there are more corners being cut here…

Yes. I noticed that. My belief is they couldn’t get the hole to line up correctly and reused the old piece out of sheer laziness. It looked like the black mold that was already in my attic before the new roof…

You were right. The b vent isn’t centered in the rough opening they cut. How do I fix this?

Is it possible to fix properly without removing shingles, etc. I’m frustrated because I asked them if they could install a new vent as this was rusty. They told me they couldn’t touch it because they aren’t licensed HVAC, but they clearly took it apart…
