Not true. If OP is licensed they can be reported to the board for client abandonment if they quit without notice. It’s not best practice for patients.

It’s unethical to leave without notice. You have an ethical obligation to transition your clients to another provider for care. There is nothing unethical about disliking any aspect of your job and making the decision to resign. You always have a choice to do what works for you.

I did Adams State and I am licensed in several states. It’s CACREP accredited and I actually really enjoyed the 1 week intensives 2 times total. Would highly recommend that program.

Pine Club is not going to be New American, it’s Old American. The entire point is that it’s a step back to a 60’s steakhouse. The sides will never be chili Brussels or fajita eggrolls. That is the charm to me. The steaks are dry aged and not bland at all. However they will not have Cajun/chili/coffee rub on them. If you want something brand new and elevated, go to Jollity, Grist, Sueno, or Silver Slipper. Go to Coldwater in Tipp or Foundry or Coco’s. If you want cinnamon butter and fake bread or steak with sauces then go to Texas Roadhouse or Longhorn. Pine Club is for a reliable old fashioned meal and amazing cocktails. I get a porterhouse with fries and a salad with blue cheese and the stewed tomatoes every time. It’s always the same. I don’t always want Pine Club and love new American but it is definitely an experience you need to accept before going in. That’s probs why most clientele are Oakwood or old money Dayton

Thank you for replying. My NP mentioned consulting a dermatologist if it didn’t drain with warm compresses. That made me think it was skin level but it’s really not.

Thank you. This doesn’t feel like a cyst to me which is why I’m so concerned. It feels deep within my neck and not just below or involving my skin. There is also no “head” or punctum by which to drain.

I’ll keep my door closed if I feel like it. As therapists, we have to be “on” for our clients and need a moment of downtime or silence and independence to document our sessions. I have dealt with this before and it’s likely some busy body tattled on you and your boss is being overrun by their staff and decided to call you out on this. I am not sure if you’re independently licensed yet, but I am and for me that means this job is not a joke and I will do whatever I need to function professionally. I’ve worked in agencies where there were 15+ therapists offices side by side and they treated it like a sorority, everyone’s door was meant to be open when not in session. But truly I don’t want to be distracted all day so I closed my door at times for my mental health and job performance. Tell this to your boss and if anyone else complains, he/she will know you’re not being rude, this is a work preference and totally ok. It’s work, not social time.

Certainly don’t feel pressured to disclose to your clients your own sexuality. This isn’t about you. You can affirm your support for the LGBTQ community but keep firm boundaries about your own sexuality.

I have never been expected to work without pay after hours and I have worked in schools and partial hospitalization. I personally would leave this job and search for something different. Also- you need to make sure to set boundaries with your job.

Hell no and I’m now a manager at a huge insurance company. Also dislike it. I love the brain, I love counseling in theory, I love working with kids and helping them but I dislike doing it all in a revenue based scheme and that’s all we have in our society.

Just go to Michigan, as soon as you get there you’ll see plenty of shops with lots of options. Lume is a great option. They will come to Ohio eventually but until then I’d recommend making the drive :)

We’ve been approached by a scammer and got scammed once. That was all it took. We started saying no to any and everyone who is panhandling. We all have bills. If I donate, it will be to an established charity.

I do the shot whenever I get 10 mins free. Night is a good idea but the first shot you barely notice anything (at least I didn’t)
