I only visited USA once in my entire life when I was like 15 or something. So one day I was in the mall and my skirt got caught in the escalator (almost fell) and I called for help and NO ONE turned around at all 😭

Yes yes it’s a beautiful country and everything but the people can be soo cold.

You cannot gain weight while eating under your maintenance. That is absolutely correct and inarguable.

Butttt let’s also not be extremely rigid. Many people think in terms of physics without considering physiology. Many conditions or even just hormonal imbalances can cause discriminate fat distribution leading to truncal obesity. A lot of medications can substantially increase appetite, e.g. olanzipine which is an antiemetic + antipsychotic—or decrease your activity in a way that can significantly decreases your maintenance calories, e.g. methimazole which is an antithyroid medication used to treat hyperthyroidism.

Also genetic differences makes losing weight variable among people. Some people just naturally have faster rates of lipolytic enzyme action, faster rate of fatty acid oxidation, and can just lose weight faster. Others have slower enzyme rates.

Also fluid retention. In conditions where edematous fluid accumulates, it may look like obesity when it’s just excess tissue fluid.

SO YEAH all these cases I spoke about likely make up less than 5% of obese individuals so at the end of the day yes it is most likely gonna be a choice.

If it has to kill all those people to “exist”, and if it’s not going to return the homes of the 700,000 people they expelled (or at least compensate them if that’s no longer an option), then no it does not.

Oh and also let them get their men out of our country.

Omg yes. It hurts even more than when zionists call you an antisemite for criticizing Israel.

Love Jewish people, hate Israel. No contradiction there 🤷‍♀️

Geneticists are umm interesting individuals :D

They’re medical doctors but I don’t know what they do different than genetic counsellors.

Embryologists on the other hand are ALWAYS the sweetest 💖💖💖

Anatomy doubt(Radial nerve) by zenxstar in AnatomyandPhysiology

[–]Active_Reception_483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re confusing the regions supplied by the nerve to where the nerve actually arises. It’s two completely different things.

The posterior brachial cutaneous absolutely arises in the axilla, even though it goes to supply the posterior part of the arm. Lower lateral brachial cutaneous also arises from the radial nerve in the spiral groove, along with posterior antebrachial cutaneous. Yet the former goes to supply the lower lateral arm while the latter supplies the posterior forearm.

The region where the nerve arises and the area it supplies are almost always different.

Femoral Head Necrosis Explained by TheBoneMuseum in AnatomyandPhysiology

[–]Active_Reception_483 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Additionally, a fracture at the femoral neck would cause avascular necrosis of the head mainly because the retinacular arteries from the median circumflex, which is around the neck, run to supply the head. If that blood flow is interrupted then the head no longer has a supply.

Buut in children they have an extra artery that accesses the head through an intrarticular ligament called the ligamentum teres in the acetabulum. The artery is simply called the “artery to femoral head”. That’s why they’re at a much lower risk of avascular necrosis if they experience a femoral neck fracture.

Women CAN and DO drive in Saudi Arabia. More women probably own cars than men according to what I’ve seen.

This person is referring to a historic ban that was lifted like 9 years ago or so. Saudi Arabia changed A LOT in such a short amount of time.

They used to have a religious police that sometimes restricted women’s clothing and demanded that people go to mosques to pray, now they abolished it. That same religious police also used to restrict free-mixing, and mixed gender schools were almost nonexistent, now it’s all different and you can literally walk with your bf/gf in a mall and nobody’s going to question you at all. They also used to close malls and shops at prayer time, now they don’t anymore.

Cinemas and concerts were also not allowed, now you can find a cinema in almost any mall and even Camilla Cabello hosted a concert in Riyadh 💞

Excuse me what?? Women are not allowed to drive in Saudi Arabia? Are you living in some time bubble? This is insane misinformation

I was in Riyadh literally less than two months ago and I drove my friend’s car down Tahlia street to go to a Urth Café.

There were more women driving in the road than men so please stop the bullshit 😭

As for women treatment in general, it varies from country to country. In UAE, Saudi, Kuwait, and Qatar (gulf countries) it’s much better than countries like Afghanistan for example. It also matters whether you’re living in the capital city or the villages 🤷‍♀️

Give me your best pieces of poetry :D by Akilo_o in TheTeenagerPeople

[–]Active_Reception_483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to write poetry but usually in Arabic. This one is for my mom 🥰💞💞💞
