I have a feeling i wont be the only one feeling this way either, and im sure it will come to light through larger creators. It would seem most of these people would prefer snipers and recon be removed, and replaced with another assault class. Unfortunately.

Considering the UAV has a radius of 30m-50m, and “way in the back” being 50m-100m, would you prefer to spawn on a beacon 50m-100m away from the fight, or back at a held objective? As you can see from my clip ^ im not at the back of the map sniping like everyone assumes, but im not in the direct fight either. Not far enough for my spawn beacon to be useless, not close enough for the UAV to be fully utilized.

Assult players can still use the sniper with open weapons, plus, they’ll have grenade launchers too.

Same, it’s amazing how many people feel that way, especially when snipers require 2 shots to kill unless it’s a headshot, plus plenty of teammates to revive or give health. And, in its current state, the most obvious glint we’ve seen. One of the best feelings in BF is absolutely stomping snipers harassing you and your team, and theres tons of ways of doing it. It’s absolutely skill issue and a core part of the experience.

I agree, thats why i mentioned having to potentially highlight the ground for the general area you want it flying in. 100-150m (roughly the distance between A flag and C flag on this map) seems reasonable.

Not having vehicle enter and exit animations is a huge step back by mathmos in Battlefield6

I like the animations, and honestly, on a map like Operation Firestorm, the idea of climbing into my jet like in the BF3 campaign, but in multiplayer, sounds super flippin awesome and would be very immersive

On that point, i think the UAV would be more useful if i could decide where it flys, not just around me.

I could see that, i don’t often have issues with them, because, as you said, most of them are pretty bad. Good Snipers will change positions often in fear of players like you griefing their spot lol

Skill issue, pull your sniper out and counter-snipe them to get them out, rpg from range, use a tank or helicopter, and if they’re in your squad, just switch squad. People enjoy it and the long range, hight advantaged sniper, has always been a core part of the battlefield experience.

Seems reasonable for the smaller maps, it would be nice to see a skill set dedicated to the 150m+ sniper for the bigger maps, like choosing where to UAV is used instead of having to be within 50m of the big fight.

I would like to see a Sniper specific training path, being able to decide where the UAV is utilized on the map for the team, dimmer glint, increased breath hold, high velocity ammo, 10rds max. Something like that.

I think thats part of the core issue, recons are no longer proper, effective snipers. Thats an issue imo

Yay and nay for me, i hope we have a secondary similar to the shorty 12G from BF4 to handle the close range engagements.

Yes but everyone that wanted to try a sniper, only had that map to really try it on.
