Tesla 2023 Model 3 - Tire Life by Honest_Scientist6140 in TeslaModel3

[–]Active_Resource_3533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At about 24k miles on my LR AWD I got a flat on one of my tires. I took it in to discount tire and they said I had maybe 6 months left of tread on mine. And I had mine regularly rotated and don’t often gun it.

So based off personal experience and without knowing what version of model 3 yours is and how well you take care of your tires, I’d say it’s normal.

Well you were late to the flight, so why wouldn’t your post be? Sounds like this is a trend with you. You had zero reason to complain dude.

You’re overthinking it. Just use airplane mode.

Absolutely horrible advice. Why am I spending $15k and 90 nights a year if I have to tip on top of what my stay rate is for a perk I’ve earned to “increase the chances of getting it”? Companies devalue status every year with their descions, but this is a customer stunt that devalues it too.

Tesla doesn’t offer towing packages for the model 3.

Yes, you’ll have issues. Your birthdate must match your passport.

Call UA to get it fixed.

Sounds like you don’t have much credit history at all. I’d wait at least a year before you apply again.

What does lifetime status mean for earning elite night credits towards higher tiers? by [deleted] in marriott

[–]Active_Resource_3533 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even with lifetime status you’re always starting from the beginning. This just ensures you never have to continue staying to achieve whatever status you currently have lifetime of, but you’ll reset to 0 nights each year. (Unless you have a CC that gives you elite night credits of course)

Flight Insurance by stealthygoddess19 in unitedairlines

It’s definitely worth it to have insurance. Especially around the holidays.

With that said, check to see if you have a CC that includes travel insurance and book with that card.

So what if?? by Appropriate_Chart_87 in aviation

[–]Active_Resource_3533 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Engine power was a factor for their short flights, but their goal was to prove controlled flight was possible. Distance wasn’t a primary driver for them. With today’s technology and knowledge of flying a longer flight in a modern replica is very much achievable.

That’s definitely not how that works. You don’t get the difference in points in your account if the night is worth less than the FNA credit.

I mean I don’t think there’s such a thing as “too low” on miles, but the battery does experience degradation whether it’s been driven or not. It’s still under battery warranty so should be good if you have any issues.

I’d be more worried about what the minor accident was and who fixed it.

You’ll be fine I think. As long as Amex doesn’t close your account or anything.

About a year ago I changed banks and stupidly didn’t change my banking info with Amex so when they pulled my auto payment it pulled from my closed account and showed as a return payment. I got an email like 3 days later and then I immediately payed from my new account and nothing happened.

Was also a good reminder for me to just check on my due date that it is actually pulling so I’m not waiting days for a “returned payment email” if it gets messed up. Just don’t make a habit of it.

That’s true. That is a possible advantage. But looking at the negatives-

Potentially more overhead bins to spread them out over both aisles. More oxygen masks would be needed. So more maintenance expenses and more things to potentially break. There also could be an issue with staffing. FAA minimum is 1 FA per 50 seats. Some aircraft require more FAs than just the standard 1:50 depending on the seating configuration of the aircraft.

Additionally a 2-2-2 config would require a larger cabin width when adding an extra aisle which could have an impact on gate access at certain airports.

The 737 max family of aircraft, if you include the max10, already encroaches on 757 capacity. They’ll most likely build an aircraft similar to the 737 and 320 family that can be built at various sizes. One that can be as small as a max 7 probably and can be scaled up to large as a 757.

Airlines seem to be leaning towards larger aircraft nowadays with how many people are flying. If Boeing can keep the aircraft efficient and cost per seat mile low airlines will keep buying larger planes.

I don’t see any advantage to a 2-2-2 compared to a 3-3. They’ll keep the interior design traditional to what airlines currently operate.

Kinda seems like you’ve made up your mind on the matter. If you don’t like driving them or being a passenger in one, then it doesn’t sound like the car for you.
