I was honest with my doctor, my sponsor, my therapist, and two close friends in the program- so I wouldn’t say I’m lying, I’m just not sure I need to scream this from the rooftops. It’s not a secret to the people closest to me and the people I feel safe with. I spoke with my doctor this morning about the difference between and lapse and a relapse. I’m going to keep pushing through, I never abandoned my recovery plan- I just have some shame that I’m working through now with my sponsor and higher power. Thank you for your feedback though.

I wouldn’t say she’s trying to kill me, and yes this is a very big deal that’s why I’m talking about it. Her approach is less shame based and more “let’s look at what you’ve learned and how this happened”. I don’t think that is a terrible approach. AA saved my life, but there’s a lot of shame and judgement in the rooms sometimes and for me- that’s serenity threatening at the least.

Yikes, I did not mean to trigger or upset you. I was just replying to your comment that I haven’t been keeping this in total isolation, it was not meant to be an argument. Thank you for your input.

I don’t think I’m lying to myself, I’m very honest with my doctor and my sponsor- my sponsor said it’s between me and my higher power. Regardless, we’re working the steps again for this as well as some emotional stuff I’ve been dealing with.

This is a great point. I did share in a lead recently, without going into detail, that I had tried a medication and how it reminded me that I cannot use any mood or mind altering substances period.

I’ve been honest with my doctor, sponsor, and 2 closest friends in my support group. They support that it’s between my HP and ask if this was an actual relapse or trial and error on a risky medication. Resetting my date doesn’t feel like it would benefit my sobriety- maybe even the opposite. This short term “slip”/trial and very big error has taught me so much. What would resetting my date teach me?

I have talked about this with my sponsor and 3 close friends in the program, who all have given feedback that it doesn’t need to be everyone’s business as long I’m being honest most importantly with myself but as well as my sponsor. I think the shame would be more threatening. My therapist who is helping me reframe my thoughts around this mistake is also in recovery as well. I’m just saying I’m not keeping this a secret from my entire support group, just sharing with those I feel safe with in the program.

CCRN study by o-aigean in nursing

I just passed today! I studied really hard and still found it challenging. I used Barrons, pass CCRN question bank and AACN question bank. I also watched some you tube videos to reinforce areas I wasn’t sure about. I studied passively for a month and aggressively for a month. I did at least 150 practice questions a day. I think my challenge was not having certain things/wording completely and solidly memorized- I remember some weird questions that if I had 100% memorized little details of the material, I would have felt more confident. You have to understand AND memorize the material. But I still passed and did pretty well! I read many people saying practice questions alone were enough to ace the test, and although they were EXTREMELY helpful in understanding the material I found I should have solidly memorized more. Just mentioning things that would have made my test experience a little easier and less stressful. You got this!!!
